Liar. Joe Louis was 37, Archie Moore was 36, Walcott was 38 and reached his prime late. CHARLES WAS CLOSE TO THE SAME AGE AS MARCIANO. When Moore fought Muhammad Ali a DECADE LATER he was well into his 40s.
Lol Archie Moore was 40 years old. Walcott was basically 40, Joe Louis was basically 40. None of these guys were in their primes and neither one were modern sized heavyweights.
I glanced quickly and thought is said "Burt Reynolds VS Rocky Marciano." I would have picked Rocky Marciano.
None of them were 40, they were the top heavyweights of their day, including Louis who was on an eight fight win streak, and the "modern heavyweight" argument is ass even for a dim bulb like yourself, because fighters are judged by what they accomplished in their own eras. Rocky beat all #1 contenders except one #2. Guys like Larry Holmes should have taken notes from him on how to be a real champion.
What a little slice of history that, I remember seeing this before but it still doesn't cease to amaze me.
Marciano and Mitchum, two legends. Also, what a random ass dinner assemblage. Don't get me wrong; I'd kill to have a seat at that particular table (or rather, takes Kevin James' seat because he's the one I'd be least inclined to geek out about meeting), but...wtf brought those people all together?
