Joe Joyce is an unproven hype job.

Chisora only made Usyk look bad to people who didn't know what they were looking at.

Just because Usyk was made to work, physically, does not mean that he didn't snooze his way to a comfortable points victory with no danger of losing whatsoever.

Parker is absolutely useless and he would be battered by Usyk.

    Parker is absolutely useless??

That is the exact opposite of what the vast majority of boxing experts have been saying around the world in the last week or so.

    Get some balance.

He beat Chisora and your talking about him beating AJ and Usyk

You couldn't balance a see saw tbh

I predicted before the fight and i think i was correct in saying AJ would play it safe on the night in order to not ruin the prospect of a Wilder fight which seemed like a possibility at the time

That hype job has fought better opposition that Parker did at the same stage of thier respective careers

19 fights before he stepped up

    Joyce debuted against Ian lewinson

Won the commonwealth belt in the next few fights

Beaten former title challengers and a world champ

All in under 19 fights with quite minimal financial backing

Listen - I like Usyk and I will back him against AJ - and maybe even Fury.

But Usyk was nowhere near as dominant over Chisora as Parker was.

All I am saying is that a reinvigorated Parker has the tools to trouble any of these guys....

    How so?

He hasn't won a fight in his last 3(offically anyhow) and wasn't his last win against David Price with 3 weeks notice?

Haye KOed prime Chisora faster than anyone, so he's better than Fury, Whyte, Usyk and Parker then by that logic. Obviously not, beating Chisora a gate keeper doesn't mean you can compete at the elite level. Fact is the one time Parker stepped up to the top level he was out classed by Joshua.

Parker's win has reinvigorated his career when it looked like he had plateaued. But he's still to prove he can compete at the top level and be competitive. Beating Chisora doesn't prove that, especially as this was a Chisora coming off 2 losses and at 37 he's well passed his best days. His best win in recent years was vs Takam a fight where he was getting his arse kicked for much of the fight and even that was over 3 years ago. I'm not convinced Parker's win was all about his minor improvements, I think Chisora's decline also had something to do with the outcome.

You're right - Parker still has plenty to prove

He has to show the world that he truly has turned a corner and the improvements are real.

Parker lost to Chisora in the first fight, lets are honest. Bully for him for beating a shop-worn, almost 40 year old in his second try.

I think he has turned a corner having changed his trainer and he did show an uppercut that was missing in the first fight and also used his usually awful jab to try and disguise his rear hand rather than that pawing jab he used to use for no real purpose.

So I think the improvements are real but I don't think the improvements he's made at this point means he can compete with guys like Usyk or even Joshua. One doesn't transform their style and dramatically improve over night, it will take more time to gradually improve if he's ever to be able to truly compete with the top heavyweights. Just like it took Lewis and Wlad years to peak and reach their potential, they didn't just hook up with Steward and were suddenly leveled up after one or two fights. The next year or two is where we'll see Parker hopefully continue to improve and then hit his prime in his 30's like most heavies do. Saying he can compete with Usyk after one good performance is simply jumping the gun.

Good points - and I agree.
But remember - there is a 5 year age gap between Parker and Usyk
As time goes on, Parker's youth becomes more and more a factor in that particular fight.
In fact, he is younger than all the champs around right now.
