Part of the problem is people still dont quite understand how difficult it is to achieve the level chisora and whyte have got to.

These two are basically elite sportsmen in their own right. Dillian whyte was a british and european kickboxing champion before he turned over to boxing. Do people realise how difficult that alone is to achieve. What your seeing is them fighting the very best in the world....and then claiming plodders. These two are elite in that their among the twenty best fighters in their division in the whole world. They,ll never be superstars. But if you we,re to take every fighter in the whole world and you we,re amongst the top 20. Thats elite level in the grand scheme of things.

You,d think people on here could achieve the same the way they go on...but just preferred to stick to their day job instead. I think more people should stop talking boxing and start actually boxing because theres a massive lack of respect to the guys actually doing the sport they love. A lot more people would realise whats involved in getting to the level of chisora or whyte instesd of labelling them useless plodders over and over.

I agree. People seem to lose track of what is a high annual salary. The purses for puddings are so out of control that £300k per year seems like a kick in the nuts, when after tax and expenses these puddings would be clearing well over £100,000 per annum.

@bbjc are you telling me that £100,000, net, per annum is insufficient for fighting thrice per year for a pudding like Chisora? It's a ludicrously high salary for a man with such limited talent.

Spot on so many people in this forum are disrespectful to fighters calling them bums and all sorts. Whyte and Chisora are arguably in the top 10 or 15 in the world at a Sport.
Puddings? what have you achieved in your life? its ridiculous how people can be so disrespectful of fighters. Even if a fighter is at British level they are not a pudding they are immensely talented. Whyte has fought some top calibre fighters and come out on top and is definitely not a pudding he is world level. Chisora is a warrior and should be respected for some of the entertaining fights he has put on for us. He may not be world class now, but he is definitely entertaining. He gave Vitali a hell of a fight earlier in his career no pudding is capable of doing that.

You need to get in reality safin. Sports a massive multimillion pound business nowadays. Jordan henderson net worth 55 million quid. Darts player net worth 10 million. Golf player....40 million. Thats not the superstars either. Chisora say 800,000. How could you seriously think that could grow the sport in any way.

Bearing in mind the dangers of boxing and how many neglect a career to follow the unknown. The truth is now you know sport is a miltimillion pound business why dont you not get your kids to follow the money. You,ll quickly realise how difficult it is to make real money boxing....you wont if you are just a plodder...and how many leave the game bashed up badly. Its a real difficult game boxing...one of the hardest out there.

Never laid a single meaningful punch on OLD VITALI and plodded his way to an easy points defeat.

PUDDING CHISORA is his name, PLODDING is his game

You could add all the magic beans and spray with water all you want but comparing football and boxing is ridiculous

Football is bigger than any sport and always will be

If we are comparing football with boxing, Chisora would be Adebayo Akinfenwa at best.

Absolutely spot on, everything but particularly the grassroots. We invest in the sport but if the goal for everyone involved is PPV then the sports in more trouble than we thought. It’s a business, money talks but there has to be some ‘ big picture ‘ thinking. How small minded to think only about the bottom line ? Even footballers, no matter how much they love money, still want to win trophies, still want to play for their countries. Boxers now just want to be PPV, listen to Conor Benn. Chisora might have more money and more profile than Josh Taylor but he has something Chisora will never have, a legacy.

Thats where the problem lies and why without ppv its really a dead sport and long way down the list of anyones priorities. Theres not enough interest in it...what they,ve done is used the ppv model....made a lot of money and spent some of it marketing the life out of it to garner interest. Without that pot of money tho...no one wants to spend big marketing it because the reality is you,ll lose money. Its really that simple. Hence why no one really wants to do it.
