The reverse of this thread (troubling Foreman but not Ali): anybody resembling Jimmy Young.

Beat Foreman. Would have lost by a very comfortable margin to a prime 60s Ali.

On the thread question itself, maybe Dempsey.

Dark horse would be Shannon Briggs. We know Foreman beats him, but he had the fast hands, height, and left hook to give Ali some awkward early rounds. Wouldn't beat Ali, mind you.

That's what I was thinking. Just because Frazier and Norton fell early doesn't mean that Tyson would.

You're right, there seems to be a lot of revisionist history when it comes to Tyson's chin/durability. The guy took huge punishment off Lewis before he went down, took shots off Donovan Ruddock like nothing and took that huge right cross off Holyfield and went back across the ring but stayed up.

Also I never saw Tyson get rocked by one shot early in the rounds and have to hold on like Foreman did against Ron Lyle, just saying

Maybe Tim Witherspoon but In truth I think he could be tough for BOTH Ali and Foreman…

Is that in a raising pigeon's contest?

Nice joke, but everything is on Tyson's side. He like a seriously enhanced Frazier, superior in every way.

I know what fighter that you are wanting us to discuss, let me guess, a champion from the late 1980's?

Except mentally, Tyson 's not knocking out Muhammed Ali and as the rounds go by and the water gets deeper Tyson starts drowning and sinks to the bottom in round 13.

Yes, that would be a good example.

He would give Ali hell, win lose or draw, but likely get crushed by Foreman.

Tyson was hurt by that uppercut. He stood in there but your right he wasn't Frazier because after about a round he wasn't fighting to win. People praise Mike for lasting into the 8th but he wanted out by midway through round 2. He braced himself for a beating which he got some credit for not fouling out. That version of Tyson wouldn't have signed the contract against Foreman.
Foreman was a terror offensively, an elite finisher. Lewis more of a chess player, boxer puncher.

I'll throw some odd ones into the mix: Prime Tom Sharkey, Ruslan Chagaev, and Andy Ruiz, for Foreman having a much easier time with them than Ali would.

First of all, this will be a 10 or 12 round fight, not longer.
Second of all, Ali does not make it past the 3rd, except if he runs away all night long.
