many people say that 70's was the golden age of boxing because of Ali and many great boxers but you have take into account in that time everybody had television and ****.
Boxing in Dempsey and louis times was a way bigger sport around the world maybe the most popular surpassing even football but nobody had tv back then. Do you think there were more skilled fighters in the 70's ? ? I mean 20s and '30s boxers used to fight much more often but black fighters hadn't same opportunities to fight for the tittle
So I'm not sure if 70's was really the golden age..what do you think_?

My favourite HW time is right now.

But that's been the case since the early 90s.

I think steroids helped to build some great fighters in 80's and 90's

90s for talent, 70s because all the major fights actually happened and we got all the closure we needed.

I want to see AJ vs Wilder, but I fear that it may never happen.

50-75…all the boys came back from war and most at the least took an interest in boxing during the military which lead to a lot of good fighters. Which if they didn’t get involved in for their kids involved in.

I think the 90's for depth but the 70's was a bit more decisive as there were only a couple of belts and fighters more inclined to fight each other.

It's hard to judge the older eras due to a lot less quality footage being available.

I see the early 30s to the late 70s, as being a period when the best fights that could be made, were getting made.

Before that you had the color bar, and after that the politics messed things up.

That could be considered a golden era.

I would watch it and it's a good match up but I feel Wilder is done.

    As a non-Boomer, nah.

One champ, greater mainstream support, easier access to televised bouts, and Ali's personality that fighters have been trying to mimic since.
