He's good, but he was never even the best fighter of his day, he's nowhere being acknowledged as the best H2H fighter to ever live.
I dont like this guy, dont like how he conducts himself. Additionally he is not the best in his division nor is he that close to the best. He has been beaten by a few of the top guys. When he beat Aldo in the lower weight class everyone started overvaluing him and it hasnt stopped.

He was good at trash talking before he got heavy on the coke. He put's bums on seats and willl probably get another undeserved title shot. Has never defended his titles so smoke and mirrors. I don't think he developed as a fighter while people like Poirier caught up and overtook him. A bit like with Rousey who was dominant on her run and the division caught he up and overtook her.
Agree with this. Aldo was a beast and yes it was a good punch but I think if they rematched Aldo lights him up. I think in that fight because of delays in the run up and it being cancelled I think McGregor got in his head with all the trash talk. Aldo is far better fighter imo. more well rounded.
He was very well managed and branded, Ali on the other hand was part of a circus yes, but he fought and beat everyone he could be asked to. Connor was a great featherweight (Though he was VERY big) but after that it is a lot of smoke and mirrors.... The Aldo rematch should have happened...
