Looks like Whyte is pricing himself out (again smh). I was all for him to get his shot, but he thinks he's better than what he is & deserves more than his fair share. He's a mandatory - he's not in the position to dictate his purse. He deserves 25%-30%. Forget that interim sh!t - it ain't gonna hold. Although, Fury is still full of sh!t aswell with his "I'm a spartan. I don't care about money" shtick. He ain't fooling nobody with that chap.

They don't really want the fight.

$10 million is a poison pill.

Helenius or Ruiz are better fights for Fury. White needs to fight Wallin, like he was supposed to.

25%-30% is what he deserves as mandatory. I said earlier in my support of Whyte before this new news came out.
That interim sh!t means nothing. Whyte is pricing himself out of a big fight again. Not a fan of either tbh, but Whyte needs to be realistic & know his place. Fury is a fraud too & obviously cares about the purse he gets. So much for his "I don't care about money" shtick.

    Waste of time that post.
    "Not if the brits..."
"something setiously wrong with the british understanding of sport"
"No wonder the country is messed up"
"If it goes to purse bids Whyte will get vitually squat"

So in summary, you're putting all your eggs in the Bob Arum's basket and hoping he's telling you the truth. Not the play I'd go with, but to each their own.

That's all very interesting but here are the actual current rules WBC works from
Documentos – World Boxing Council (wbcboxing.com)
WBC Rules and Regulations > 2.16 on page 6
The minimum Whyte can expect is 30/70, so that would be the starting point. The maximum he can expect is 45/55 (perhaps unlikely), but Fury's team came in with an initial offer of 20/80 which is outside of the official split structure, so who is pricing themselves out the fight exactly?

I'd like to hear both sides to this story that Arum is spinning. Warren, Arum and Fury all have different versions of what is happening. And then there is the side of Hearn and Whyte. Then there is the WBC too

if it goes to purse bid Whyte will be getting between 30% and 45% of the purse bid which DAZN will win handily.

Fact Fury's last 3 fights have all lost money, Wallin, WIlder 2 and Wilder 3 were financial failures all 3 lost money.

That's a sorry state of affairs really, but it's not really unexpected. ESPN was likely willing to take some losses on Fury as his signing in 2019 was a big win for them with DAZN trying to enter the American market (ESPN plus launched just a year prior). They were probably hopeful of building his profile, dealing with Wilder, then possibly making money on the undisputed fight with Joshua. But, (though admittedly I don't know if it was ever renewed) ESPN have only one fight remaining on that initial 5 fight contract Fury signed up to.

So, it's not inconceivable that this is also having an impact on why Fury's side of things are not keen on fighting Whyte, as Top-Rank/ESPN certainly wouldn't want it going on DAZN.

    Why is it always 10m?

Didn't Jacobs and Quillin both want 10m to fight Golovkin too? Or am I thinking of Chavez jr.?

Whyte gets the belt if negotiations fall apart. He will be happy to get a title without fighting.

What's in the pot? Don't tell me show me. Pay the man if there's enough spondoolies to go around. But just make sure you don't short-change a gypsy brother and King during the process.

Also. Where is the video of Whyte saying he wants 10 million? Are we to just believe a guy like Arum who lies constantly? But I guess it's working because you all are debating it now instead of wanting proof he said that
