What happened to the rematch against Kid Galahad ?

Hopefully Kiko pummels Warrington and sends him into retirement.

Think Galahad is moving up to 130 for his next fight

Running from Lara I see? And didn't Warrington say he wanted the big fights so that's why he vacated his belts? Now he appears to want belts..very contradictory.

Good fight I guess. Kiko is still dangerous but he doesn't have the firepower Lara had. It will be a close one, but I'd expect a hometown decision in favour of Warrington.

And why not give Kiko the respect he deserves by putting this fight on in Spain?

First fight was close Warrington will get the nod maybe another dodgy result. Obviously doesn't want the smoke with Lara that rematch was a farce.

I'll take it… I love watching both of them but Warrington still has lara problems… We need to see a third one.. but this is still a good fight and I still pick Warrington here.

Lara should get the title fight, not Warrington

Warrington ducking, not surprised at all

I would guess kiko will earn more fighting in the UK. If his fighting Warrington in the UK I think his got himself a very good payday.

This is what annoys me about boxing fans today.

Warrington gets an immediate rematch with Lara and gets slated for the rematch and wanting to avenge his loss.

Warrington fights someome who isn't Lara and gets slated for ducking him.

And now we have the exact situation that immediate rematches will avoid. Because Warrington will beat Martinez and say he doesn't need the Lara fight because he's now above the level and would have won the rematch had it not been stopped.

That might be true, but his career will usually suffer because of it. Hard to get a fair shake as a foreigner in the US or UK.

Kiko Martinez has a voluntary defence it seems after Galahad decides to move up in weight, picks a top 5 fighter but it's a bad fight? Kiko's win over Galahad was not luck, when a fighter does something wrong once you can class it as a mistake, over and over it's a bad habit and Kiko capitalised destroying Galahad with 2 punches. Kiko picking the biggest payday in the division and his chance for revenge with Warrington possibly worse than the first fight due to damage sustained in Mauricio Lara first fight, is the right choice.

Kiko has treated his body like a temple and dedicated himself which has greatly slowed his decline. He seems to have added more of a backfoot dimension to his game which helps the issue of his declining stamina. Warrington living the celebrity Leeds life too much, but he can bring his game up when needed, like he did when he schooled and battered Lee Selby and Carl Frampton. Potential complacency is with the challenger due to Kiko's mindset but Warrington needs that IBF belt if he wants big fights(Santa Cruz in Vegas).

Kiko landed with some huge shots in the first fight but Warrington ate them, Warrington's chin is definitely solid. On the other side Galahad even managed to buzz Kiko, seems easy nowadays. I reckon Warrington could drop him.

My prediction is a Warrington unanimous decision 116-111, 116-111, 117-110.
