Well he's 37 and had only 17 fights. This matchup with Toney is hard to predict, the Toney who showed up for the Roy Jones fight was pitiful as were some other of his efforts at 175 but he's a better overall fighter than Beterbiev so who knows.

James Toney was never stopped in a 30 year pro career. What mystery are you referring to in regards to his chin which was about as good as it gets?

Not as much of a mystery as your post.

    When reading fails, fanboys prevail.
The mystery being just how good his chin was. Depending on your perspective it can go from "great at MW" to "greatest ever".
Raging Toney fanboys should notice that I never said that he would get knocked out or anything similar.

You think that's an indicator of a weak chin? That's more a balance issue.

You said his chin was a mystery. Has nothing to do with being a fanboy, and you simply not knowing what you are talking about. If you are as versed in boxing as you think you are, there should be no question on his chin. Assuming you actually saw JT fight.

If Toneys chin is a "mystery" then Beterbievs is one as well seeing as he got dropped by the limited Callum Johnson

    Depends which Toney shows up

Peak for peak, I pick Toney.

If Toney has a bad day I can see Beterbiev getting through that defence (arms, shoulders, ribs) eventually.

Beterbiev dropped a prime Usyk to the body. I don't buy that James Tony is impossible to knock out.

I got Tony on points but ending the fight on the verge of being broken down. Tony can slip shots well but Beterbiev is an easy to read out fighter. Tony won't make it out of this fight without taking a lot of punishment.

Beterbiev hurts Toney. Beterbiev is the modern day Monzon and Foreman. He doesnt look that impressive to the eyes besides the physique (much like Foreman and Monzon chiseled frames), but then you look up it's the 5th round, you find yourself on the canvas and in serious pain. You go how did that happen? And then all of a sudden the other man is beating the life out of you.
