LOL even if you consider Canelo's last few fights as real and not fixes (they were fixes) , he is not P4p top 10 let alone 5.

There's a lot of weight grifters here too.. I don't consider fighting in a division 30/40lb below your down time weight the stuff of pound for pound. Okay maybe if you're a heavyweight, that allows you some leeway there but overall no. Ageing Roman Gonzalez is in my opinion still a pound for pound talent yet he doesn't even factor in most peoples lists because they just look at his boxrec or are too busy slurping privileged overrated inbred PBC gimps like Spence.. I mean Spence.. come on.. him being top five is a fkin joke… The guy didn't even fight in 2021 and refuses to truly challenge himself.. Kambosos , Usyk & Taylor **** all over these guys..

Why is Loma on this list. He lost to Teofimo who was beaten by Kambosos. He needs to regain the title and beat either Kambosos or Teofimo Lopez. Yes he looked good against former word champion Commey but let’s remember Teo stopped Commey first and beat him in a more convincing manner. Now I know the Lomasexuals will not like to hear these facts but facts are facts. No alternative facts.

    2. Golovkin :) Sadly I have to place GGG one place above Canelo as long as he's not retired since he beat him twice.

I don’t disagree that he needs to regain his titles. But we shouldn’t discount his whole body of work and one loss doesn’t kick him off the list entirely. Plus there’s the Nakatani beating, who TEO struggled against btw.

    No belt, no P4P place

There are dozens of champions in the sport of boxing, having a belt is an absolute minimum requirement

Nakatani was not a mother****ing world champion like the Commey Teofimo knocked out was. Pardon my French. Also Teo beat Commey first as did Tank stopped Pedraza first which Loma could not do. Loma may regain his P4P status one day but it must be earned first.

    Canelo.
    Usyk.
    Taylor.
    Crawford.
    Inoue.

I base my list on recent form more than bodies of work.

Say what you want about Canelo he was the only top guy fighting 4 times in 11 months.

    1. canelo
    2. usyk
    3. crawford
    4. loma
    5. winner of estrada/choco
    6. inoue
    7. spence
    8. taylor
    9. ioka
    10. davis

I feel theres a consensus top 3 with canelo/usyk top 2 in either spot depending on your preference and then crawford rounding up the top 3. 4-10 is a crapshoot.

Thanks! I hate to bang this drum in every thread but activity matters for multiple reasons.

    1. It keeps the sport alive.
    2. It prevents the log jams at the top like we've seen at HW and WW.
    3. It gives upsets a chance to happen and demonstrates consistency.

We had 2 fights a year for a long time, some went to one fight every 9 months, now it seems like the default is one a year. Being a boxing champion is a part time job.

Canelo was part of this for a long time, but he stepped up this year when the situation was really dire. Of course promoter support is a factor, but there are easily a dozen other fighters with a promoter 100% behind them.
