    Fury UD

Fury is twice the size of Ali, likely hits quite a bit harder now that he's with sugar hill, stronger than Ali, and has a significantly longer reach. He could straight up clinch Norton with his superior strength and size everytime Norton gets close, jab him in the backfoot and repeat

A lot people in the classic do not comprehend how gigantic Fury is compared to most classic heavyweights or how good he is for such a big guy and pick guys like Dempsey, Marciano, Shavers, Quarry, or Charles to beat Fury.

    It's laughable.

I've never seen anyone pick Shavers, or Quarry to beat him. Or Charles for that matter. Seems to me, like you're going into business for yourself at this point.

I must admit, I didn’t comprehend how gigantic Fury is - TWICE the size of Ali, that’s freaking huugge!!

I hope you know Fury isn’t actually 6’9”, more like just over 6’7”. Still very tall but don’t buy into the ballyhoo. Otherwise, if we’re taking weight Butterbean was gigantic also.

What’s Fury’s best weight if he actually fought trim?

By height or weight? I ask because I want to know whether to envision Fury as 420 pounds, or as 13 feet tall.

6'7½ and whatever weight he would be trimmed is up for debate but it doesn't matter because we're using the real Fury. His lightest at world level was 246 against Klitschko am i correct ? That is still huge compared to Ken Norton now take 270lb+ from his Wilder fights and thats ridiculous huge compared to Ken Norton.

He would dwarf Norton but a guy like Holmes who is the same size as Norton could beat Fury because he would dance around Fury make Fury come to him and Fury is sloppy offensively. Ken Norton would come right at Fury and get handled the same way Chisora did in their second fight, jab, clinch, repeat.

What worked against Ali wouldn't work against Fury.

Wilder didn't hurt Fury? How about the first and third fight?

Fair points but talking 277 lbs is not like it’s all muscle or that Fury is so much bigger as opposed to simply so much fatter. About 250 lbs or so is more realistic and whatever else above that weight is questionable as to its effectiveness and advantage.

Norton was still ripped at his top weight of about 225 lb. If he viewed extra weight as being so important Norton could’ve easily covered himself in 15 lbs or so more muscle, not fat. Kenny was a far better boxer than Chisora anyway and wouldn’t be so easily shut down.

Understandable but Fury would have a significant weight and size advantage in the clinches and Fury from what I've seen is very strong regardless of his extra fat.

Rumour has it that the Gypsy Giant owns a goose that lays golden eggs. How cool is that? Maybe we should try to steal it.

I’ll give Fury that. He’s one of those anomalies in terms of body appearance and excess weight. By the look of him you’d think he gas in 2-3 rds but not so. He’s a pretty fit fat man. I used to have a mate who was like that, extra weight etc. but he was very good in a lot of sports including those requiring no mean stamina. It’s a gift I guess. LOL.
