It seems like when the money goes, that's when the fights happen. Human beings have an appetite for the infinite, it doesn't matter what we have we just want more.
It will be a fight we will all miss but no reason it can’t happen. Shame it hasn’t been made already.
Of course he isn't, he rarely risked even fringe top ten fighters at the peak of his confidence. Even Fury going into #1 wasn't really top ten on performances since his return to boxing, he'd only have been there on anyone's list because of his potential to reach his previous level. Wilder ran a mile from AJ when he was at the peak of his confidence, he'll run even further now.
Exactly. And by that read: "Wilder demanding way more than he knows he'll ever get, in order to guarantee that the fight never happens". Or in a word: duck.
If we go of their history then ir's pretty clear that it's only Joshua who actually looks for decent fights. Wilder only took Fury because he thought it was an easy nights work...which proved to be incorrect. So why do you all think that Wilder would fight another threat in the division? He won't and your deluded if you think he will. I'm staggered that in recent times that I have to defend Joshua a fighter I'm not that keen on although he does have decent fights because of his mental weakness.
If AJ loses to Usyk I`d rather see Usyk v Wilder unless AJ v Wilder was on the same card as Fury v Usyk, AJ`s name has lost it`s luster as has Wilder v AJ compared to when both fighters were unbeaten, I`ve gone from 10/10 interest to 7/10 interest, there are more important fights at heavyweight right now.
Wilder, despite his glaring weirdnesses, would probably knock AJ the f out. AJ never dreamed of having the kind of heart Wilder showed against Fury, he quit against the Pillsbury Dough Boy. If it ever happens, I don't see AJ making it 7 rounds.
I wish. It's the kind of fight that needs to happen in this era regardless of what point either guy is at after their last fight because of the weaknesses both have. Hopefully Joshua doesn't retire early if his chances of being champion again dissipate.
If Wilder has no belt, AJ and Hearn are staying as far away as they can if they still have hopes for AJ's career. Although I could see a situation where if AJ lost to Usyk and kept fighting, maybe lost again, they might do a cash out series with Wilder without any belts, market it as a bombs away final fight series type thing.
Very unlikely at this point. When it was for all the belts and shirtloads of money, it didn't happen. Wilder even carelessly throwing away a 3 fight $100 million deal opportunity (probably more due to him being duped his management). Now there's much less money and a lot of reputation on the line. With bigger legacy/money fights possible for Joshua. And Wilder probably being better off "retiring" ad making a comeback in 1½ years time, beating some pushover, "proving" he still got it, to get a big money fight that way.
