I think Demirezen could have won that fight without throwing a punch.. shocking stamina by Washington

Washington is better but he had no conditioning.

Very sloppy. I didn't see a hook with any snap on it all night. Washington has a big heart but he should retire

Are they seriously trying to talk up Demirezen as a contender?

I think this was a good stoppage, Washington was out on his feet for basically 2 rounds, he was in no state to take anymore punishment

Wasn't the stamina, it was the pressure and bad gameplan by the corner. So much like Price vs Hammer. A fighter in control of a fight given bad advice for multiple rounds and suffered a defeat they had no real right to lose.

Hmmm not watching (will watch when I get a chance), but any chance of Washington getting a gift if it goes the distance? I picked him to win by SD in the league moreso because of getting a favourable decision on the cards haha.

    Edit - forget it haha.

Washington dominated as long as he had some gas but faded badly once again. Demirezen is pretty average but has a decent engine and can drag you into deep waters. Still...i think most solid HW prospects beat Demirezen handily. I think they might make Demirezen vs. Anderson next and i fully expect Anderson to dominate.

Agree, and in those instances it's his corners responsibility to identify when to take a break and slow the pace. Buddy lost that fight not Washington.

Nah, he won 2-3 rounds early then just faded terribly. I don't think he would have won anymore rounds.

Demirezen would destroy anderson at this moment, maybe not in 5 years

A guy like Washington has no business being in professional boxing. If you won't even get in shape for your fights you shouldn't be allowed to fight.

I agree but not entirely... Washington was breathing heavily after round 2, definitely a stamina issue as well
