At the time the first Chisora fight was seen as 50/50, Wlad was probably a 25/75, he went to Germany against a long reigning World Champion, an insanely long reigning World Champion.
Ok. So he's gotten over being an overweight alcoholic, he's beaten a few cans, and now he's back at the top table. Tell me again why he needs tune ups if he's not struggling with substance abuse and he's shook the ring rust off? Face it: he's not a fighting man/spartan etc. He's a very cunning bloke who doesn't face anyone and everyone.
Fury says he wants to fight in March or April. He says he wants to stay active. Why are people criticizing him for that now?? Dillian Whyte has been out of the ring for ages, pulled out of his fight with Wallin in October, and now seems to want to go in endless arbitration and lawsuits to delay his shot at title, hold up the division, or be awarded title in a committee room, or for the hope of getting a couple of million extra for his cash out. Of course, I wouldn't trust any of them, or what Fury says. But fans should support the idea of him fighting soon, not support the idea of all the boxing politics bull****.
You're seeing it wrong. There's nothing wrong with being active, but to go from KO'ing the biggest puncher of our era to fighting a guy like Helenius is just not on.
I would say the only 50/50 fight he been is was against Wilder. He was an underdog in the first Chisora fight and he was an underdog in the Klitschko fight.
50 50 at the time with mc d for the the English title fury was strpping up a level as the well backed prospect mc d English level mcd lit him up fury didnt know what to do the robbery had to be put in place or the money that had been put into fury eouldnt hsve been retrieved first wilder fight fat out of shape very inactive 50 50 fight he drew it i stand by my statement
Because, ideally you want to have a stay busy fight (rather than a tune up) before going for the undisputed bout. Whyte's his mandatory, and an easy fight for him. I hope it gets made because the plastic yardie is an absolute wanker of a man. If Whyte decides to price himself out, then Ruiz would do, and only him in my humble opinion. Helenius, Sanchez, and Hrgovic they're all gash. No one wants see him fight them lot.
Agreed. To have been a professional for as long as Tyson has and for Helenius to be the 4th best name on his resume would be sad.
You don't read my posts. I've said several times that Helenius is unacceptable, the fight would be a disgrace and a farce for Fury at this stage. Helenius is below the threshold of acceptable tune up. Anyone who says Helenius is an acceptable challenger is talking crap. But it hasn't actually been announced as Fury's next fight, so it seems a bit silly to go into full moan mode, like you are.
Haha. You're dismissing Fury for the high standards that he set himself. It would, however, have been okay to go from crap opponent, to crap opponent, to crap opponent like Joshua, I presume. Are Martin, Takam, Breazeale and Molina available for some "top 10" defences?
I don't think Sanchez or even Hrgovic would be that bad. They are unproven but young and promising. They aren't a lot worse than Whyte or Ruiz or Parker surely.
Hrgovic, Sanchez, Whyte, Ruiz and Parker would all make for good to very good opponents. Just no to Helenius and anymore Wallin and Schwarz types.
