In the next few weeks the biggest issue from covid will be staff being sick. It would be foolish to have medical staff taken from hospitals to work boxing shows plus the chances fights will fall apart would be high too.

I’m no expert on this obviously but I always thought promotional companies had insurance policies to cover them for fights being cancelled/black swan events.

in the age of covid are they covered? Far too much risk involved I would imagine with all the uncertainty.

Come on. It's a reasonable solution. A few weeks to flatten the curve won't do any harm.

Hasn’t boxing been postponed so paramedics/doctors/hospitals can be used for COVID?

I think we should all prepare for the fact that there will be no boxing events here in the UK in either January or February 2022.

Sad, but there are more important things in life.

    Flatten the curve!!!

What a load of total shite.
Thousands of people in Ikea, Greggs and MCdonalds at full capacity knocking out cheap shitty food, the list goes on and on and on and on...

Shut these places down, and that should be a good start to flattening the "Curve"!!

Flattening the curve would only take a few weeks, while performing more injections, and would really help. I see that the fourth vaccine has already been discussed. The only right thing to do at this stage is to write off January with a circuit-breaker lockdown, ensure everyone has the booster and get started on the fourth vaccine.

Too many people are dying to this evil disease. In 2022, we know that pretty much everyone has a healthy diet and lifestyle, so it's totally unfair that our population is perishing to this evil disease while people like you are completely insensitive.

Boxxer doing crappy job again at communicating the postponement. Shields already posted that the fight should happen on February 5.

Fight is being rescheduled for February 5 subject to Welsh Government guidelines.

I don’t know why they haven’t officially announced this, maybe it’s because they want to wait and see if there are any more restrictions put in place and save the embarrassment of another cancellation / delay.

Less than 4 weeks ago me and six other mates went to Printworks and spent 9 hours in an old Print Factory with a few thousand others dancing to the likes of Erol Alkan and The Chemical Brothers. None of us wore masks, nobody was wearing masks. None of us got Covid.
