How does it go boys ?

  1. Shavers by savage KO. Beterbiev has no chance. This is a mismatch

Yeah I saw that evolutionary progression in the last Wilder Fury fight, they looked as skillful as two women beating a dusty rug swinging brooms.

Agreed, but in the conversation of AB fighting Shavers, HW's being bigger today does not apply. That is the perspective I am speaking from.

probably bieterbiev by kayo, some of todays light heavies enter the ring weighing close to what smaller 1970s heavyweights weighed

If they could fight, I'd pick Beterbiev. Shavers always has a puncher's chance and he would against AB in the early rounds. AB fights well inside so ES probably won't hit him with a big punch like the one he caught Holmes with. That was not on the inside. Shavers was dominated by Holmes, they fought almost 23 rounds, two minutes of the 11th round of the last fight and Shavers won about 1 minute out of 68 total minutes. AB would not be fighting ES at a distance where ES was the most dangerous.

AB's body attack would drain ES power so ES would probably only have 2-4 rounds to catch AB. ES would get weaker each round from the body attack. In size, AB is probably 190-95 in the ring, maybe more if he didn't have to make 175 the day before the fight? ES usually weighed 210 or below, and they were near the same height.

AB like anybody, could get caught by ES. I don't think it would be likely because of their ring styles. I'd take AB by TKO/KO.

Ali who fought Cooper against Beterbiev would be an extremely interesting fight.

Why compare AB with heavyweights? I see all these threads and refuse to vote. Different eras and different weight classes.

Cooper weighed 188lbs, just under 22lbs lighter than Ali, when he dropped him like a sack of potatoes and almost knocked him out.

Jeremey Quarry sparked Shavers in a round weighing 202lbs

21-24-0 Bob Starlings weighed 209lbs when he outpointed Shavers

Stan Johnson weighed 180lbs when he outpointed Shavers

Ron Stander weighed 216lbs when he outpointed Shavers

Ronald Lyle weighed 216 pounds when he KO'd Shavers

Bernado Mercardo weighed 217lbs when he KO'd Shavers

Shavers also lost to 17-10-0 Walter Santemore when he was about a year older than Beterbiev is now

If Beterbiev lost and got KO'd by opponents the level of some of those you'd al be on here with seconds dismissing him as a hype job bum or the worst fighter in history

If Beterbiev who, as said, can punch holes in castle walls too, stopped a lot of his much heavier HW foes in the ams with big gloves and head gear on and who HW Usyk even admits gave him ''his toughest'' fight and ''does hit very hard'' and who actually hurt Usyk, which I've never seen anyone do, and I'm not just talking about savage punching career CWs and amateur HWs. I'm also taking about huge punching SHW goliaths, then why isn't it conceivable that a bulked up 200-210lb Beterbiev could possibly beat him too if numerous lesser fighters actually did who weren't exactly giants?

Do any of you know what a 210lb Beterbiev would look like? How much harder he could punch with the added weight? How much stronger his punch resistance would be at that weight? Why do you act like he might not be much stronger, tougher and more powerful than he already is with the added weight and size when it's clearly been the case with many others you worship at the altar of?

I'm not saying he'd beat Shavers, I'm just curious as to why many of you have one set of rules for him and certain other types of fighters and a completely different set for others? You seem awfully reluctant to afford him the same luxuries and privileges as you do them for some strange reason.

Would you have picked the much lighter MW James Toney who got dropped like a sack of potatoes by Reginald Johnson or the LHW who got beaten by Drake Thadzi to beat Samuel Porter? I don't think you would have beforehand

What about the Roid Jones who got dropped like a sack of potatoes by the light punching Lou Del Valle to beat John Ruiz?

Now granted both Toney and Roid were able artificially enhance themselves with industrial amounts of roids to help them bridge the gap to fight at HW against the likes of poor Ruiz who lost to three walking PED factories from the lower weights so if it's OK for them to jack themselves silly with industrial amounts of roids to help them bridge the gap to fight at HW why not Beterbiev too?

The thought of a 210lb walking PED factory Beterbiev actually scares me and I'm a gypsy warrior who was raised on the roughest caravan site in Great Britain and I can assure you I fear no man.

Problem is Beterbiev is not that size as a pro and Cooper was not only slaughtering Beterbiev sized guys in his day but Cooper only lost to guys who were much bigger than Artur. Cooper would also be an absolutely gigantic LHW today. I think 185 was like his absolute minimum weight.

If Beterbiev moved up to cruiserweight and has lots of success then it would be a debatable topic

But he likely would be if he moved up to HW

Roid, Toney, and Evan all weighed considerably more when they fought at HW than they did at the lower weights

So we're basically matching a LHW version of Beterbiev vs a HW Shavers

Well in that case Ruiz KO 1 the SMW and LHW versions of Roy and Toney

But Roy did move up to heavyweight as a pro. Beterbiev hasn't even tried cruiser. We don't know how good he would be. For all we know he gets knocked out or struggles massively in is cruiserweight debut. Beterbiev is a monster LHW but prime Shavers is a bridge too far and hits way too hard.

Beterbiev probably beats inexperienced green Shavers from his first 10 pro fights though

Yes but, again, we're pitting a LHW against a HW to prove his inferiority and for some strange reason people are and more to the point want to act like a bulked up heavier version of him wouldn't be enhanced by the extra weight, power and strength and I don't understand why or why they're so loathe to even attempt to be a bit fair

Most of these same people looked at me like I was a lunatic when I told them Usyk could beat AJ and were utterly sure they were right even though I provided plenty of sound logic, reason and proof to back my assertion up. They'd still be laughing at me now in their infinite arrogance and scorn if AJ was a fighter from yesteryear and the match up could never move beyond the hypothetical realm

Well, as I've said, Beterbiev fought at HW (CW in the pros) in the ams and was able to stop many of his 200lb + opponents up there and Usyk who fought at SHW against 230-277lb giants in the WSB praised his power and still to this day says he gave him his toughest fight, a much tougher fight than the giant AJ was able to
