The Hrgovic/Hunter purse bid $606,666.00 with Hunter getting $363,999.60. But that's still less than what Ortiz made vs Martin and would be less than he'd make vs Ruiz Jr which would likely be a PPV in the US. So if Ortiz does fight Ruiz Jr next that's understandable.

Yes Yoka would be next in line if Parker passes. The Yoka/Bakole fight is cancelled due to Omicron but Yoka/Hrgovic could happen in the late spring or early summer I guess. That is of course if Yoka wants it.

Martin had a mystery injury too when he was mandated to fight Hrgovic. While suspicious at least this is plausible as he had fought recently unlike Martin who hadn't fought in about a year.

Parker is a dangerous fight for Hrgovic. Hrgy would be much better served getting some experience vs a few guys below Parkers level first (Chisora, Forrest, Takam) especially because the only person who offered something of resistance that I can recall was over the hill Eric Molina 2 years ago. As it is this is quite the step up for him. Not saying he can't win but if the fight is made it will really be a few steps up for him.

Hrgovic is game. Parker is fit. Yoka-Bakole was called off. Offer it to Yoka if Parker won't take it.

Hrgovic-Parker. Hrgovic-Yoka. All fine. They're all on the same fighting schedules.

They should all be fighting three or four times this year. Time to pick up the pace. If you aren't a world champ, you should be fighting as often as you can against other fighters who will get you somewhere.

I mean, Hunter was in a position where he didn't have the financial backing to win a purse bid, or possibly get a fair shake on the cards given he had recently been dropped by Hearn.

Whereas, isn't Ortiz promoted by the PBC and literally just headlined a PPV. Surely PBC could put in a purse bid and then control the fight if they think DAZN/Hearn/Saurrland will underpay their fighter...

Looks like they will be keeping Ortiz in house to get knocked over by a fellow PBC fighter. Like the vast majority predicted would happen

Yes PBC could of clearly thrown money at this, though Ortiz is clearly ready to be taken and so yes will likely feed him to another PBC fighter like Ruiz Jr or even Sanchez to bolster that fighters resume to push that fighter towards a title shot.

But Ortiz/Ruiz Jr does make more financial sense too as Ruiz is a bigger draw than Hrgovic who is unknown in the US.

Parker should jump on this, then Yoka should, but why do I get the feeling its going to be Kabayel
I'm not 100% on this and can't be bothered looking at the IBFs rules, but Hrgy did win their IBF international heavyweight title and has defended it twice, so I would assume hr would be ranked in their top ten because of that. Not sure why he's so high in their rankings though

Would be a huge step up for Hrgovic and he has looked very hittable lately

Who has Parker ever ducked? Unless a better opponent comes along Parker will fight Hrgovic.
