The last thing I´ve heard Eddie Hearn said was that 2022 will be a record breaking year on DAZN with more than 50 live shows.
I'd like to know how many of those will be domestic, or involve UK fighters. I'll watch most boxing, but some of the Italian or Spanish cards I find hard to get enthusiastic about.
Now, of course, it's a very difficult situation because of Covid 19. I think a serious guess is that Matchroom will host 8-10 shows in the UK in 2022.
Robert Smith talking about the January lockdown and also the incident in the skeete fight. How he tries to justify no action necessary after what happened to Skeete is embarassing. This content is protected
Been on the show twice and he is simply a disgrace to British Boxing. He is totally unaccountable and he passes this lack of accountability threshold onto refs and judges.
That's right, but there will probably be no boxing events in the UK in January or February so it's going uphill for Eddie Hearn / Matchroom.
Why not report it ? Dont you think that it would be fair to DAZN's subscribers to issue a press release stating that they expect 12 to 16 UK Shows in 2022 ?
They have. It was literally in a massive press release when Matchroom signed with DAZN Hearn signed a contract that requires 16 dates. Only way that changes is Covid. Some dates may not be available now due to scheduling.
I've just been to DAZN´s website and DAZN (which I subscribe to) on my tv and I can not find any information about Boxing and Covid 19? I hope you are right about the 12 - 16 Matchroom UK shows coming up in 2022.
including a groundbreaking move that will see at least 16 Matchroom UK fights annually available exclusively to DAZN subscribers in the UK and Ireland for the first time, from July 2021 onwards. the board aren’t allowing shows in January. So if DAZN and matchroom can fit in the dates they will still do 16 shows. If not they will remove a January from the deal and continue.
