In 15 years time who will be remembered as the better British fighter?

Both of them flopped and I feel AJ will lose against Usyk again, Khan never avenged any of his defeats.

    Joshua by a country mile.

He's only lost to Ruiz (where he won the rematch) and Usyk (ATG at Cruiserweight).

Winning the rematch against an even fatter Rice Pudding Jr does not expunge the disaster that was the first bout. I believe it was @Jurgen who referred to the bout as the most embarrassing thing seen in a ring, which, by any objective measure, must be at least close to being true.

Joshua has been carefully built up, but it's all falling apart now and he will take more losses soon enough.

Would Joshua get past a prime Gary Cornish at this stage? It's a legitimate question.

It certainly was me who provided that appraisal - a reminder of the highlights.

For me, Khan. He is by far the more talented operator and has the L's on his record yes but this is because he had proper ambition and fought anyone. Canelo was career suicide though.

AJ has had the more successful career so far but hasn't taken the risks Khan did.

Khan ducked the Prescott rematch. Joshua stepped in again with Ruiz Jr.

Maidana, Garcia, Peterson, and Bud though. Plus the Prescott fight wasn't for any world titles like AJ Ruiz was. If it had been there may have been more urgency to have the rematch.

He lost 3/4 fights you mentioned.

How on earth does that enhance Khan's legacy?

At least Joshua has beaten fringe world level fighters like Parker, Ruiz, Whyte and Povetkin (faded).

    Khan.

Say what you want about him but he didn't shy away when it came to getting stuck in the trenches.

    Crawford fight?

He quit and hadn't even taken much punishment.

Both did great things for the sport. Khan winning silver at Athens led to greater funding and popularity for UK boxing. He paved the path for future fighters like Joshua.

Joshua led to the reemergence of the UK as one of the biggest boxing nations. His PPV numbers have been astonishingly good, even for a British Title fight. This has led to more TV companies / sponsoring becoming interested in boxing.

In terms of them as fighters, Joshua probably has the greater legacy. His only blemish (apart from Ruiz which he avenged) is to an ALTG in Usyk. Khan will be remembered as a top fighter who struggled at against any decent World Level operator when his chin used to get shattered. The loss against Prescott is a difficult one to take.

He did, but Maidana Garcia and Bud are killers compared to Parker Ruiz Whyte and Povetkin. The Maidana performance alone plays a big part in securing Khan's legacy. Plus his Olympic success at such a young age is something that shouldn't be overlooked.
