    I say again

Hrgovic wants a 75-25 split to fight anyone

That is a CHAMP level split

EDIT: Apparently it is only when Hrgovic reaches #2 or #1 that he gets a split this high. This is the IBF rules that seemingly bring this about.

Where did you find this gem?

Hrgovic was supposed to get 40% against Hunter.

This is becoming sad, there are certainly fighters who would agree to fight Hrgovic, for example Hughie Fury, Otto Wallin, Agit Kabayel, they are all very good fighters and that would be a big step forward for Hrgovic...

I might be mistaken as I was going off the rules from the IBF, and the rankings as I found on boxlive which were updated mid-December. However, I should have gone to the original source of the IBF. It's strange because I thought I did. It depends if boxlive's rankings are accurate or not for December.

Hunter was #4 and Hrgovic was #5 at the time, so the split would be 60-40 in Hunter's favour.
Now, if Hrgovic is #2 he is entitled 75% of the split against any opponent except the #1 guy. I don't know if Ortiz would have been promoted to #1 to replace Martin, #1 v #2 is a 50-50 split. If Ortiz was promoted to #2 and Hrgovic was at #3, then it would be 75-25 in Ortiz' favour

    IBF/USBA RULES (ibf-usba-boxing.com) go to section 9.D.

Though actually, I might very well be mistaken on Hrgovic's ranking.
According to Heavyweight Rankings & Boxing Champions - Top 15 WBC/WBA/IBF/WBO for December the IBF had Martin at #1 and Hrgovic at #2. However, the official IBF website doesn't have any rankings for December (typically they will be published early january)

It's strange, because BoxLive will show vacant spots on other IBF rankings, so I doubt they would just shuffle the fighters up in the rankings like that.

edit: I will hold my hands up, and just admit I can't be sure of the official ranking, until they release them. And just assume Boxlive is incorrect information. It has happened before

Seems to be the norm these days with all the route planning and ducking and diving, cherry picking and out right bollocks.

If Parker and Ortis don't want it that leaves it open for someone that does. And good luck to them as the IBF heavyweight eliminator's not too shabby is it?.

Really disappointing. I’m disappointed in all of Hrgovic’s duckers. What a sad bunch of scaredy-cats.

    @Finkel

Usyk-Joshua-Fury have basically put the HW division on hold. Even if Hrgovic becomes the madatory he will not get the opportunity to fight for the belt until mid/late 2023.

That is my fault, not yours. The rankings for boxlive might well be incorrect for the IBF. So I was potentially spreading misinformation there. My apologies, I was being lazy rather than battling with the IBF website on my smart phone. After checking on my PC, they have Hrgovic at #3 in their November rankings.

Still the argument that Parker can make far more money going the WBO route stands. Joyce v Parker will be a larger purse and likely a more favourable split for Parker

There is a definite "RICKY BOBBY" vibe going on between Tyson Fury and Joseph Parker.

Parker not only doesn't want to face off with Fury ... Parker seems to worship Fury these days, going out to nightclubs with him, taking off his shirt and going behind the DJ booth when Tyson does it. o_O

Why do I get the feeling Tyson Fury is one more breakdown away from Joseph Parker moving into Fury's mansion like Ricky Bobby's friend Cal, sleeping with Fury's wife, Paris, and Joe posting his photo over Tyson's above the Fury family's fireplace? ;)

Parker wants the lifestyle, but doesn't want to do the work.

I'm surprised you're not placing Parker 3rd on your gerkin jerkin list...
    1. Wilder - Ducked Joshua year after year until he was beaten senseless by a pillow fisted heavyweight (multiple times)
    2. Ortiz - China chinned and glass kneed. Struggled against C+ Charles Martin in a 'step up fight'. Ducked Hrgovic and claimed an injury
    3. Parker - Assuming he has ducked Hrgovic, he doesn't want the woeful % that is on the table.
I'm under the assumption that should Parker make your top 3, he would have to prove himself by fighting someone over the age of 40 and pack nothing more than a balsa wood mandible (considering that's what Wilder's career was built on). I would say maybe he qualifies with kali Meehan, but that chin is more durable than 95% of those on Wilders resume.

    Just in case you forgot

I sincerely hope the IBF doesnt cycle through the entire top 15 and if rejected by all, not make Hrgovic mandatory.

This is the second time in less than a year, that everyone inside the IBF top 15 is rejecting a title shot against Hrgovic.

If they want to be yellow, then just make Hrgovic mandatory anyway. **** them off.
