The one I was thinking about was about 5-6 years ago - I don't recognise the name James Murray as the guy who died.

It was certainly in Scotland and tragic that there were 2 deaths.

It must be absolutely devastating to have everything you have ever worked for and dreamed of, snatched away in an instant.

I hope Kash can find a role in boxing that can give him even a little bit of fulfillment.

    Cracked it - thank you.

He collapsed in the ring and died in hospital.

Really sad news but health naturally comes first. Kash Faroq enjoyed great exposure and was truly an exciting boxer to watch.

I wish him all the best.

    Wish him all the best.

His fight against McGregor was brilliant and he should of got the nod. Will have to watch that one back.

I think that was a lad called Towell but don't think it was at SASC.

That was a great close fight and I thought Farooq won by 2 rounds.

The rematch would have been a cracker.

Horrible news. As said by many others - I thought he beat McGregor and he was an exciting young fighter.

So the rematch is off then? I wish him all the best in his future endeavors. Can't help but feel a bit curious what forced him to retire.

Yeah it was dreadful with Towell. The most troubling part of that story is that he was having serious headaches and nosebleeds in the lead up whilst sparring, but was still allowed to fight by his trainers even though his Mrs begged him not to.

Sounds like health issue with Kash, which is a shame but must come first. I thought he won the first McGregor fight too, and was definitely a talent. Really fun to watch for such a skilful boxer.

Also were Mike Towell passed away. Also amaxingly on one of their Bill's Ken Buchannan and Jim Watt fought each other. Imagine that now, would have been PPV all the way.

He was robbed against McGregor. Seemed to regress in his performances a bit after that.

I didn't see a lot of him to be fair but what I did see, I enjoyed.

Flamboyant would describe him inside the ring perfectly - from my eyes.

Best of luck to the lad in his near and distant future.
