Floyd was blazing fast, his reflexes were razor sharp, and dude put on a performance as good or better as Corrales. Maybe his best. Yeah, he was shot.

How many rounds did you give CANELO in those 12 rounds?
    2 or 3 ?
And why was that? Because everytime he tried to open up he got stuck.

What are you smoking????? Mayweather was at his best at what weight class??? Not jr.middle.
36 is not even close to your prime. You could even MAYBE make an argument for say 32 and that's pushing it.
23 is the best years out of any athletes life.

36 years old and as razor sharp as ever.... fighting at a weight class he'd first fought at 6 years previously ! He was a super feather when he was 19 ffs

If you can't see that the Canelo of NOW is level above and a far improved fighter compared to the Canelo of THEN, then it's not even worth discussing with you lol.....Even Stevie Wonder can see this.

Generically speaking, for a MW - SMW being in your pomp at 33 years old is about right.

But obviously there can be exceptions hence why you can't use the argument of it being a 23 year old v a 36 year old because different fighters peak at different times e.g. Tyson early, Lennox later.

You have to go off what you see in the ring at the respective ages not just age.... and what we seen was Floyd's absolute A game where everything was on point against a young Canelo, where like I say, it's obvious he isn't the level of fighter he is today.

    Simple really...

Carl Froch at 23 - Still an amateur
GGG at 23 - Still an amateur
Lennox Lewis at 23 - Had his first pro fight
Joe Calzaghe at 23 - Had only just won the British title

4 examples straight off the bat and all of those fighters didn't peak until they were in there 30's.

As I said in my last post, you can't solely go off a fighters age. Some athletes peak can be years before/after anothers.

    Gee willikers, such bombs.

"Easy work", KA-BOOM!!! Until now, nobody knew that the nascent Canelo didn't present Floyd with the toughest night's work of his career.

"He cooked him", KA-BLAOW!!! Who had ever considered that Floyd defeated Canelo quite widely? Surely no one ever.

It's like the Book of Revelation in here.

Given the prime size difference I wouldn't be surprised.. Fury caves Canelo's face in anytime in his career..

I know exactly how old Floyd was. He said he was close to 40 which he was at 36 way past his physical and athletic prime. At his physical and athletic more combinations at the speed of light would have been bouncing off Canelo’s ginger head.

36 is not as close to 40 as 22 is to 24. I'm surprised you don't know Floyd's age. Perhaps you could google him, read up and learn about his career...

I do know his age and told you he was 36 when he outclassed Canelo. I know comprehension is not your strong point so in remedial terms young man Floyd was saying he was closer to 40 years in age than age 28 when athlete is supposed to be in their athletic prime. Floyd had left his prime years and in boxing terms was a pensioner whereas a 23/24 year old Canelo was approaching his prime. Irrespective Floyd kicked his ass end of.

No one is ever going to say GGG was at his peak at 36 years of age.
If Froch was just hitting his stride at 36 why retire at 38?
    JC retired at what age?

Those boxers lost prime years that they could never get back.
You heal quicker in your twenties. You can take more punishment in your twenties.
To sit here and say Canelo is at his prime would be saying that he's going to fight for another 5 or so years which is not true.

Such a shame it was at a catchweight. Should be one of Floyd's best wins but it only has a fraction of the significance for that reason.
