SRL not only has the skills to match but also the size, speed and power to boot. So him.

Mayweather is a tiny welter in any era. Floyd started out at 130lbs, Leonard started out as a welter. Leonard is clearly the much bigger man. This cannot be disputed.

SRL all day long, if 15 rounds Floyd does not see the last bell & might not make to round 12.

    Ray wins a lopsided decision

Not that I particularly disagree with any of your other than stating that pac was old and semi shot

You realise Floyd was older and also kind of shot?

I do agree that no pull counter is working on Ray Leonard

Leonard and Duran are much greater than Floyd and Manny

If Ray Leonard vs Floyd Sr is any indication then Ray bests Floyd Jr.

As I recall it took a few rounds for Ray to figure out Floyd Sr shoulder roll style, but once he did he beat him up and knocked him out.

Leonard would win a decision vs. Floyd, (Floyd ain't getting stopped by anyone).

At WW, Floyd simply didn't fire enough, hard enough. His defense was still phenomenal but you can't beat an offensive powerhouse like Leonard solely off of your defense. Floyds single shots would land here and there but he's not gonna hurt or dissuade Leonard from unloading combo after combo. I mean hell, Leonard literally walked down one of probably the 3 hardest WW hitters in history (who incidentally was a better boxer than him), and stayed in the trenches against the greatest LW ever.

Only people who'd say Mayweather are ones who didn't see Ray Leonard I'm guessing

I'm no boxing historian and I don't want to weigh too much into a debate like this (I don't know too much on Leonard and Mayweather, only watched a few fights), but surely Manny being an eight division world champion is the definition of greatness. I've always believed the greatest sportspeople are the ones who do something special that nobody else has managed to do.

There is no other eight division world champion, and it'll never be done again. I'd argue that makes him just as great as Leonard or Duran. I agree Mayweather isn't as great, but there's no way we can just brush aside Manny's 8 division record.

The historians will probably point to x, y and z. And maybe they're right. I just wanted to defend the more modern generation guys who consistently don't get the credit they deserve.

Manny was a malnourished kid when he began. Also it isn't just about titles, but who you beat

Also there many more belts now and it's easier to be champion
Manny and Floyd are both great, but they pale In comparison to Roberto and Ray

Roberto at 135 would destroy manny and beat Floyd too

Beating the better opponents makes Leonard better than pac. Who has pac got on his record that is equal to Hearns or Duran? (I don't believe that SRL should have gotten the nod against Hagler so not including his name).

And how many of those 8 divisions was manny THE man at? He is undoubtedly an atg, but way too much stock is put in multi weight champs these days imo. You think manny would be able to have all those belts if there was only one belt per weight class? Meaning that he had the fight the best to get them? I don't, and Manny is one of my favourite fighters of all time.

    Good post

    Also look at Roberto

    Many more fights than manny
    Higher win percentage
    Higher knock out percentage
    More longevity
Duran was a lightweight and went 15 rounds with arguably the toughest man to ever lace them up in Hagler!

Also handed Ray Leonard his first loss by jumping to 147. Manny dragging Zombie Oscar to 147 pales I comparison

Floyd and Manny are great boxers, but not on the level of Leonard and Duran

Floyd's no tiny welter. He tossed Mosley around in the clinches like a rag doll.

Bruh, Oscar called Pac out and Pac jumped 2 weight classes...

Was he supposed to jump THREE weight classes?
