Because I feel Shavers would be far more dangerous to those heavyweights due to his reach, I mentioned Joyce because you listed him as a heavyweight that Usyk fought and I mentioned Dubois because Joyce out-jabbed Dubois which is something Beterbiev could not do, he also couldn`t go toe to toe with a powerful heavyweight like Dubois compared to Shavers who could have.

Holmes did destroy Shavers beating him twice, and winning virtually every round. By todays standards Shavers is in fact a small-medium sized cruiserweight. There are guys currently fighting at cruiser significantly bigger than Shavers.

I don't see Beterbiev getting whacked out by Stander and Quarry like Shavers did

Look how small Earnie Shavers is here. Granted, he is not as big as he used to be due to old age, bad posture etc but he's still dwarfed by the likes of Lennox, Douglas and even Holyfield who have also aged.

He wouldn't dwarf Beterbiev. He would be a regular sized (rehydrated) cruiserweight at most today. Yes, his power was awesome but he lacked in most other things.

I'm not taking about Beterbiev vs SHWs

I'm talking about him vs small HWs

Why on earth would Beterbiev even want to try and outjab Dubois?

Have you seen him fight before?

Most of Shavers opponents weighed in the 180-210 range

If a 216lb Shavers can hurt and drop a 245lb Joseph Bugner

And a 185-187lb Beterbiev can hurt a 200lb + teak-tough Usyk with big gloves and head guards on

Then a 185-187lb Beterbiev can surely do the same to a 216lb Shavers who was stopped by numerous fighters who couldn't even wobble Usyk, let alone beat him, with little gloves on

Now let Beterbiev bulk up to 200-210lbs and see how much bigger, stronger, more resilient and powerful he is

But none of you will even entertain the possibility of this

So again. John Ruiz KO1 SMW/LHW versions of Roy and Toney

    Fair's fair

And no I'm not saying Shavers can't hurt or KO Beterbiev either

Holmes w backing off v Shavers who had a longer reach than Usyk does that`s why he coulght a fading Ali so much.

Usyk recovered from his knockdown from Beterbiev instantly then punched him back, there`s no way the right hand that flooerd Holmes weren`t more devastating that that shot or any shot Beterbiev has been hit with.

Ruiz had bad punch mechanics he would never have floored Holmes, it`s not always about size.

I think I'll probably...................... probably going to go with the guy who went the distance in shaking Ali's ancestors and nearly took Larry Holmes head clean off

Ali was shot and lost to Leon Spinks in his very next fight. How is that supposed to be impressive on Shavers part? Beterbiev might well beat that version of Ali.

I think Shavers loss to Quarry is maybe more relevant because he got blown out by a guy around Beterbiev's size who is likely not as good as Beterbiev.

Quarry went toe to toe with Frazier who would have torn Beterbiev apart he`s never been in the ring with anything like Joe, all those hard hooks constanly coming.

Despite the majority of the people thinking this will be a mismatch it really isn't, Beterbiev can be hit and hes been hurt and floored. Callum Johnson floored Beterbiev heavily and had him on shaky legs, Yarde also hurt him numerous times.

Shavers is by far the biggest puncher Beterbiev has ever fought, and whilst I do favour Beterviev i think Shavers is definitely a live threat.

Frazier and Liston kill Beterbiev and he goes nowhere near dropping either of them.
