Would be interesting to see whose brand is number 1 in Britain, by the end of 2023!

Unless he gets beat and perhaps not even then, Fury is definitely a bigger star in the UK than Joshua now. Post-Wilder even his wife has a bestselling book and media career.

I don't think it's all cut and dry yet for Josh Taylor as he could still be moulded into a bigger name.

If he goes and fights Errol Spence or Crawford that's a pretty big fight if marketed correctly in the UK and USA.

I think if Conor Benn doesn't come unstuck (which he might) then by the time 2023 comes around he could end up fighting a newer, upcoming name like Ennis who he'll probably lose to.

If Joshua beats Usyk then Joshua vs Fury might end up on the cards for winter 2022 and who knows what 2023 will hold. I think it's more likely he'll lose the rematch and his star will dwindle even more but who knows at the moment.

Other than the three mentioned there's nobody who really sticks out. Tyson Fury has a name already and his brand could get bigger if he sticks around but i think he might be looking to retire within the next 2 to 3 fights.

Maybe an upcoming new prospect in the span of the next two years could be moulded into a star. I don't know who that could be as of yet.

But if he loses those fights it could harm his brand, Bud has knocked out welters and is far better than anybody Josh has fought and Spence is too big for welter let alone a fighter moving up from 140.

Yeah, he could lose those fights no doubt. I think with his talent he's someone who the british public should get behind as he's more likely to become a champ at 147 than Conor Benn and others.

He did supposedly batter Ugas in sparring which he talked about on twitter.

I think fighting Benn first would be a good way to get a feel for life at 147 before stepping up to fight for a title.

    I'd have to disagree here.

Fury is a huge name don't get me wrong...... but when AJ fights EVERYONE from the UK knows about it and looks to tune in, particularly females.

The amount of woman who have zero interest in boxing but come out of the woodwork and take an interest when it's an AJ fight isn't to be sniffed at. He has serious pull.

AJ is the bigger star but everyone doesn`t tune in because you have to pay £20 to watch his fights, the average person does not watch boxing matches only sports fans watch AJ, Bruno got far more exposure because he fought on terestrial TV and nobody had to pay to watch his fights in the 80`s apart from his first fight with Tyson which was shown on Sky TV before most Brits had cable or Sky dishes.

Only sports fans tune in to watch AJ lol ?

You are way out of touch here. I can assure you that is not the case.

He just come across as a bit of a bellend at times and his profile is terrible for such a great boxer at present.

I think as a Scotsman he needs to have a REALLY likeable personality (a la Ricky Burns) for English boxing fans to really get behind him and I don’t think he necessarily has.

Just my opinion of course and I actually don’t mind his no nonsense personality .

Look for Amir Khan to go on a star-making comeback tear after settling Brook's hash.

I think the uptick in Fury's celebrity is underestimated. Since he returned to action, he's had the Wilder fights, a couple of prime time documentaries, Paris making a name for herself, and Tommy too. He hasn't fought in the UK since an undercard fight with Pianeta. My feeling is that if he does it will be enormous as long as there is some risk in the fight. Particularly, I reckon he does exactly the same numbers against Joyce/Ruiz as he would against Whyte and that is the factor in negotiations with Whyte.

If Joshua was fighting in the USA at 4am, with Fury the following week in U.K., I’m absolutely convinced there would be more interest in Fury.

What percentage of people in the UK pay PPV prices to watch AJ`s fights? I know a lot of people watch his fights in pubs maybe that`s what you mean, most people I know have never seen AJ fight, 12 million watched Bugner fight Bruno on ITV in 1987.
