I'm still gutted at the outcome of Warrington v Lara 2. I had backed Lara to win with both Ladbrokes and Skybet. When the fight was stopped by the cut Skybet instantly refunded me but Ladbrokes refused which really pissed me off. Needless to say I closed my Ladbrokes account after that. I was more annoyed that the fight ended with a cut though cos for me it was a shoe in Warrington was gonna get beat again.
It may be that Eddie Hearn can use Warrington in one more fight but if Warrington wins then he will have to face Lara for the third time - a fight I do not think Warrington can win.
Vacated the IBF a year ago, now wants it back. ‘I want the bigger fights’ - rematching Martinez who he beat about 6 years ago.
Whatever happens this changes nothing, he got ironed out by Lara and was absolutely going to again before he was saved. If that second fight had taken place in the States or, even better, in Mexico they would have let him be finished off.
