Whyte should be thanking his lucky stars he is being offered as much as 20% after being exposed by Povetkin.
I’ve said the following before, but it bears repeating. Jack Johnson, who had not been flattened in a recent fight by a washed up Russian, accepted a crack at the title, for a derisory $5,000, while the champion got his demanded $30,000.
Times change, but the principle’s the same. Take the short end for the rewards later.
Unlike Whyte, Johnson was the much avoided, logical, champion in waiting, yet accepted, just over 14%.
Throughout boxing history challengers have jumped at the chance, regardless of the purse.
Dillian’s reluctance seems to suggest a distinct lack of confidence, otherwise he would be like Jack!

Apparently Yoka and Bakole. Or anyone under 30 I guess.

The man is a plank and his criteria is shocking.

Fury is a far bigger global name than Whyte. Mayweather took a 30% split vs De La Hoya. Sometimes you have to take a lower split and win the fight, and the money will follow. Whyte should want to become the champ by beating the champ, not pushing for higher amounts and potentially losing the fight.

I know he's not the tune up, but it's what I consider him to be. Hrgovic would be a stay-busy fight, Whyte's a tune up.

Let's wait and see how this saga unfolds. For what it's worth, I want to see him fight Whyte next.

Whyte is a pudding and a glorified journeyman - a tune up for any of the top boys at best

Wilder is a Warrior and went out like a great Champion - Joshua jacked it against Fatty and Usyk took the rest of what soul was left.

Many ingredients go into puddings - Whyte and Chisora are the biggest puddings out there and have been for years.

They do big numbers on Sky yet only a British Title between the two puddings - Jesus wept.

I only rank Whyte slightly higher than Chisora. I think Fury makes him look stupid and stops him late.

Anyone who seriously thinks Whyte has a better resume than Fury is just a flat out troll or a brain dead idiot.

‘Based on resume’ - I absolutely love Usyk but one win over Joshua doesn’t put him 3 places higher than someone with 2 wins over Wilder and a win over Klitschko.

‘Based on recent fights’ - Joshua has lost 2 of his last 4, Whyte 1 of his last 2.

Half of these dont have a decent win between them jurgen. Dubois best win is nathan gorman. Joyce struggled badly against a much much more shopworn version of jennings than ortiz faced. Hunter drew against povetkin. Sanchez is more paint dry than parker. Bakole and yoka dont have any decent names on their records.

Their all good fighters tbf just surprised how much critism you,ve handed out to some names when the names you,ve mentioned arent actually any better or achieved even as much.

I completely forgot about Wilder - I'd probably have him at 4th and Joyce at 5th after giving it some thought. I wouldn't confidently pick Joshua against Wilder though.

Come on man. You really want to go back to jack johnson times to try to justify it. Pretty sure racism probably played a part in jack receiving the short end as well.

Surely we,ve moved on from them days.

They have not met my criteria for a pudding - my nose can sniff a pudding three arenas away.

These guys have shown me enough to avoid entering my Puddings Hall of Fame - Puddings Whyte and Chisora were early entries
