jones was just one of those rare guys to whom the 'rulebook' didn't apply.
hopkins was a ring general and nobody ever looked good against him.
very, very different fighters but roy was just something else.

Herol definately had a hardon for Joe and not in a good way.
    I can't say he's missed.

I've always been a fan of Hopkins, but you can reasonably argue prime Jones was the greatest fighter of all time or at least in the top five. I admire Hopkins' brains, ring generalship, longevity, and dedication but I'll give the nod to Jones.

so long as they are past prime, dethroned, and winning as many as they are losing.

Roy, is one of the Goats overall, he looked unstoppable in his prime. Hopkins is one of the Goats at Middleweight but not overall. His style was less dependent on athleticism and more on experience

Roy does for me…. He went from middle to heavy and won titles. Bernard might have had a better run at middleweight then Roy but Roy’s win over Toney and Hopkins himself are better then any wins Bernard had at middle. Bernard had the better career at middle but Roy had the better career all around.

Really? Interesting. He did beat the 2 guys the OP is about. He did go undefeated and had some decent wins along the way. You feel he shouldn't even be mentioned?

who they fought and when is the only fool-proof way to assess a fighter's career.
don't get me wrong, calzaghe was an excellent fighter, but he was probably the best fighter i know who allowed his career to be run for $$$ instead of legacy.
frank warren had a lot to do with that.

Would've been nice to see Calz lock horns with prime versions of Hopkins and RJJ.

Your original comment was that Joe coudn't hurt a fly. I corrected you stating that Joe Had good power as shown in his KO %.
Thae fact he slapped later in his career was due to busted up hands.
You are casual if you only saw his fights at Light Heavy.
Unless your one of the many irrational hater/fanboy crowd.....
