Couldn't sleep and rewatched the Rosado fight and was impressed. Munguia has really matured as a fighter. He fought with patience and precision and put together nice combinations. I think he'd be very competitive against Golovkin now because of his improvements and his Golovkin's decline. I have a suspicion that Golovkin might not even make it passed Ryota. He seems almost shot.
Mungia take the shots he took against Rosado from GGG, Murata or Charlo he’s going to sleep. Offensively you can see the improvement but he leaves himself open for too many flush shots..
There's nothing to suggest that GGG is shot yet. His power, timing and precision is still there. If he slows the fight down to his own pace, not many can get past him. A fighter with high tempo, work rate and countering ability will probably give him hell right now though.
Golovkin is a lot slower than he was. It could be that one of the high energy fighters like Murata or Munguia prove that 40 is real and not just a number. That said, if GGG still has gas in the tank, he will mangle Munguia. I like Jaime's busy approach but Golovkin is a shark, he picks his punches carefully and Munguia is not hard to hit. I see Munguia fast out of the blocks and GGG being patient until he sets up the shot he wants and the fight turns there. I think JM needs a few more high level fights and GGG needs to age another year or so before facing him.
I don't know what your budget is... Off the bat, I'll always recommend a Montblanc 146. It's classic, timeless, a thicker size, instantly recognizable but isn't gaudy, a solid gold nib, and has excellent resale value. They used to start at $375, but think it's $700 now.
Yes. Golovkin looked bad against Derevyanchenko and Canelo. And now he is 40 years old. He will probably lose to any top 5 contenders.
I think he's slowed down a lot — to the point where I think Clenelo would stop him in a rubber match — a guy he beat twice. He's almost 40 and he's been inactive and could be ripe for the taking. We needed the freaking Murata fight, damnit.
As Joker is being a poser. I'll help you out. If you don't wish to spend that much on a Montblanc which are excellent pens then you can try the following. Poser? My total fountain pen collection is worth over 20K. And on my wrist at the moment is an IWC Mark XV.
Exactly! Although I can't really point the finger as I'm pretty bad myself. When people come round and ask they think I'm insane bacause I dropped a couple of grand on a custom pocket folder.... I just like quality stuff and initially coming from an engineering background I appreciate quality materials and workmanship. I'm aware that it's almost a mental ilness at this point but I like quality over quantity.
Munguia is not all that good. I would still consider Golovkin elite relative to his weight class. I've never seen anything in him that suggests that Golovkin wouldn't stop him. Golovkin is still quite a good boxer with a great jab,
I just managed to order this! https://hbx.com/men/brands/timex/hypebeast-x-timex-m79-automatic-watch Will be a great beater watch.
