Thanks that is useful. I recently had a hankering for a fountain pen and got a Jinhao x450 just to test the waters. I was frankly surprised at the quality and rediscovered how much I like writing with a fountain pen. My handwriting is somewhat bold and rounded so it looks really nice with the strong ink line. Now I'm wondering about upgrading my pen. Can't justify a Montblanc though :)

Theres some decent pens about. you will notice a lot of difference depending on what your spending if you spending say £50 I'd advise to spend a £100 at that point onwards you'll have something that will be smoother and last a lot longer. I like writing with a fountain there just not pocket pens. For that I always recommened a Fisher Space Pen as there reliable and come in different formats and are reasonably priced.

Dude, invest in a good fountain pen. It's something that will be your companion in your life journey. If you're budget conscious, the only thing I would set as a requirement is a solid gold nib. Stainless steel nibs are far too rigid and tend to be very scratchy in feel, A solid gold nib is malleable and will adapt to your writing style (which is why you NEVER let anyone use your fountain pen).

If I was you, I'd pick up one of these Sailor Pro Gear Slim Fountains (ugh, what a horrible name) in the color Vega and Blue Dwarf (lol?). The speckles give the look of lapis lazuli. Very, very elegant. Just $200 and you get a solid 14K nib!

    $144 on eBay!

I'm a ****ing klutz and would immediately drop the pen on its nib. Seriously, I've already done it :duh

Edit: that said the Sailor looks quite classy. Not bad at all

I'd say maybe next year. Two/three more solid wins under his belt and then go for it.

Make sure he gets it with the beautiful 4810 Westside pen pouch.

Ewww, no. I hate that line. Stretchmark grain pattern.

GGG is getting ''old'' and has been pretty inactive since Covid started. I feel like a lot of fighters have a chance against him now, which doesn't mean he can't still outbox or knock'em out.

But no matter what, Munguia has always been down to face GG, so kudos to him.

Who knows how much GGG has left at this point? He hasn't fought in awhile.

GGG is nearly 40 years old and past his prime since 2016 but it could still be a close fight. Tough fight for both.

Yes. Munguia is ready. It would be a good fight now since GGG has aged and slipped.

I just learnt somebody spent almost twenty grand on a collection of PENS and I'm having a lot of issues processing this monsterous waste of money.

I believe a large key to GGG's success was due to fighting 3 - 4 times a year, I think he was very good as a super tough pressure fighter, great balance, timing chin & ofcourse power ... but that time has passed...
