Now with 2 official losses each. How do you see a potential fight going with AJ vs Wilder. I'll confess prior to either losing I had AJ for the win, but watching each of there last losses I think Wilder has to much determination and could weather adversity were as I think AJ would quit under pressure

Wilder stepped up in my rankings. He showed heart against Fury and he remains the man with the most dangerous right hand, regardless of his flaws.

Ortiz and Fury have shown the blueprint of how to beat Wilder, even if Ortiz got caught in the end. Joshua is able to finish Wilder, but he may get clipped aswell. It's literally a 50/50 fight where anything can happen if you ask me. I only exclude Wilder winning on points.

If I had to vote, I'd say Joshua by KO.

AJ, wilder doesn’t even believe he would beat him and is already considering retirement, meanwhile AJ still wants the tough fights

I'm going with Wilder based on heart and determination alone (and of course that nuclear right hand).
AJ is better technically, his offense more varied, but you have to seriously question his chin and desire to win.

Neither are close to being top level boxers though Joshua > Wilder in that regard. I like Wilder by KO. At some point he'll catch Joshua and Joshua won't get up.

I,d have took wilder when they we,re due to fight...but who knows now.

Just think joshua would have tried to box casually behind a high guard...wilder would have got off on him at some point. Joshuas just a tad too slow at moving his head and feet. Reacts but its that half second too long. I think wilder actually sets decent traps even tho he doesnt get credit for it. He keeps that right hand till you almost start forgetting about it.

Who knows now tho....i think an aggresive joshua which might now show up could get him out of there quickly.

I think Wilder is damaged goods. At his peak, he would have taken AJ. But after two big time beatings, I'm not sure any longer.

Whoever lands the first big shot wins. AJ doesn't really zero in on guys until he lands at mid-range, right where Wilder's right hand is deadly.

From the dawn of time until the end of Ruiz 1, AJ would have won. AJ was gunshy against Usyk, he wasn't just defensive as a gameplan he was genuinely worried one sharp counter would stop him.

And he wasn't too far off, seemed like everything solid wobbled him.

Think of all the advantages Fury had: weight, reach, height, footwork, defense, versatility, skills, etc. He barely escaped the first fight and was tested a bit in the third.

AJ has less of all those things and he doesn't exude the air of confidence and fearlessness that Fury does. Wilder will feast on AJ's self doubt and wavering aura, it will strengthen him.

The only question is if Wilder has finally taken too much damage himself or if age catches up to him, but if he had been facing AJ last October he would have won. That is the shame about all the rematches, a lot of unexpected **** happens when we get new matchups.

Before Ruiz 1, Joshua. Between Ruiz 1 and Fury 2, Wilder.

Now.... who knows, whoever lands the big shot first. 50-50.

I still fancy AJ against Wilder. No matter all the hoopla about Fury being a puncher, he really isn't and Joshua really is. Fury rocked Wilder's world and I'd expect AJ to do even more. In a battle between punchers I fancy the guy who is technically better, has the better jab, has some sort of footwork and defence and who has fought the higher level of competition. That's all Joshua. You could argue Wilder has more power and I might agree but that doesn't matter if he's not able to land first and I think AJ will land the big shots first.

Mentally I still fancy Joshua. He got clobbered by Ruiz, and calmly stepped back, analysed the situation and came back to whitewash Andy. After every single Wilder loss there are a dump truck full of excuses and rationalizations and appeals to supernatural forces against him. It's super clear that AJ is stronger mentally and I'd give Wilder a puncher's chance, that's it.

    I think it’s a great fight.

AJ should be able to adjust and judge the distance a bit better, probably walk wilder on to a counter eventually and drop him.

wilder is a bit useless if you don’t give him the chance to land those big swings as fury demonstrated but we all know that AJ can’t move like fury.

what’s the height and reach difference between aj and wilder?

AJ starts well and drops wilder but I’m picking wilder to eventually catch AJ with a big shot and stop him around the 7th round

    Wilder KO.

AJ has become more gun shy since the Wlad fight. Wilder doesn't mind taking risks and AJ's defence isn't like Furys.... so Wilder will clip him.

I really can't call this. 50/50. If Wilder lands big it could be game over, but if AJ gets inside, no one is as deadly as AJ can be on the inside.

Someone is getting KO'd in the first 3-4 rounds here.

AJ didn't quit under pressure against Wladimir

I think Joshua would beat Ruiz 8/10 times
I heard Joshua had been KO'd in sparring and was still suffering from the effects when he went into that fight. Whilst I don't know how true that is, could believe it. I don't think that shot that wobbled him against Ruiz was as hard as some of the shots he took from Wladimir

I would still pick Joshua to win
I do think Joshua hits as hard as Wilder
