He has progressed well in the pros and is a live dog vs Hrgovic although lets not forget the one year doping ban for three skipped tests in 2018. For sure he was juicing.

I don't see the progression you're talking about in Yoka. Yes his career is progressing nicely but in terms of his boxing I'm not seeing any significant changes. He still has a style that's far more suited to the amateur style scoring system than professional boxing.

He still relies on his size and speed, still no head movement, still basic high guard, no counter punching, no inside game. Against a fighter that can keep him on the back foot I think he'll struggle or a fighter who times his attacks with counters to shut down his offense will expose his inability to fight as well on the back foot as he does when moving forward.

But Hrgovic hasn't really progressed either if I'm honest. He too is the same fighter as when he first turned pro, but I think he has a style more suited to professional boxing than Yoka's.

Ask Wladimir Klitschko, Deontay Wilder, or David Haye

I know what they say, a lot of guys get hyped about in sparring.. but he hasn’t earnt the reputation he has been given in this forum in my personal opinion . He needs to walk the path like everyone else who came up.

i like his style, he’s solid.. but it takes more than just skill. He lost to Joyce and Yoka.

He was a young man when he lost to Joyce and Yoka.

I think people here rate him from the sparring stories and what he has done as an amateur. Albeit against limited opposition, he has looked impressive as a professional.

You say he has to “walk that patch”, which doesn’t make sense. He’s a young fighter trying for big fights, but no one will fight him. There’s a reason people don’t want to fight a guy even though they’ll become mandatory for a World Title if they beat him.

It sounds like you’re trying to insinuate that Dillian Whyte should be rated highly because he has “walked that patch”, which I agree to an extent.

Try to go two posts without mentioning Whyte’s name though. You’re becoming a btec version of Miniq @miniq

    They've both agreed!

Excellent eliminator between two unbeaten rising contenders.

    Can't wait to see it.

And, if one becomes champion, they will have already begun their series. No point in wating until they are 40 to begin.
