Of course you didn’t see it. Ha! Nobody is saying that he and his team wasn’t at fault. The point is, it wasn’t an excuse. It was legit.
We’ll never know. Because like you’ve said, Floyd wouldn’t take the fight earlier. He obviously wasn’t as confident as what most of his fans were.
I guess you want to just forget about pac pulling out if talks turning pbf down and running off to fight clottey? While pbf had agreed to terms.
You were saying you couldn't see the injury because Pac was throwing with both hands, so I actually proved you wrong. It hindered him.
No, Floyd refused to do the 3 week cutoff, so he didn't want to make the fight. Pac at the time was as popular as Floyd, maybe even more so. Yet Pac conceded to 90% of his demands — come to the ring first, step on the scale first, have Floyd's name first on all promotional materials, the drug testing, etc.. CLEARLY Floyd didn't want to budge and used that as an excuse.
Pbf agreed to that ridiculous 1 million dollar per pound over the limit penalty that pac wanted he agreed on the even purse split even though he was the bigger draw. All pbf requested was random drug blood and urine testing with no cutoffs to be given to both men and pac didn't agree he pulled out and fought Clottey those are facts. Pac and his team weren't sure if he could pass so they didn't want the fight.
Every time I see this thread pop to the top I want to want to respond again, so I am. Lomachenko being the pound for pound goat after 19 pro fights is just ridiculous. I don't think anyone can be even in that stratosphere after so few professional fights but if I was going to pick someone it wouldn't be Lomachenko. Even among the active short career fighters you have to go with Oleksandr Usyk. He's undefeated, he's unified one weight class and now holds three of four belts as a heavyweight. Loma is really good but Usyk has him trumped.
Except Pac said he'd agree to whatever tests Floyd wanted to for the next 5 years until they fought. And just out of curiosity, what do you think of Floyd's refusal to use VADA testing, rejecting the $5 million per dirty test penalty, and Floyd's illegal IV fluids?
His hands were screwed, who cares? He is pillowfisted. Manny could've been on every drug possible he'd still be outboxed, we all know this. They had different artillery. Defense wins championships.
Pac never said he was afraid of needles. This statement never came from his mouth. Pac said from 2010 to when they agreed to fight, he'd take any test Floyd wanted him to take. Floyd refused VADA testing. Floyd rejected a $5 million dollar positive test penalty. Floyd used illegal IV fluids.
