Because it is you damn fool if 6 out 7 of the fighters who are constantly named weight bullies are black when there are white fighters who are but never get mentioned. How often have we seen men as enormous as Fury do the things he does? He defies the limitations that nature usually imposes on boxers his size. He's P4P.

 

For strategic reasons, obviously. More weight in his punches (with an eye on wiping Wilder out sooner, though Wilder was heavier himself and showed real toughness tremendous heart to hang in there), better punch absorption when facing a big hitter.

We're talking about Fury's natural dimensions, not whether he comes in a relatively trifling (at that size) ten or fifteen pounds heavier or lighter. How often have you seen a heavyweight who possessed both the stature and athletic/technical ability of Fury? That kind of freakish (or borderline freakish) size is typically an encumbrance.

 

Heard it all before in the build up to the Teo fight. Loma was gonna box his ears off, Teo will quit on his stool etc. After the fight, Teo's a weight bully, Loma had 1 arm. LOL
I'll wait to see what happens. But I wouldn't sleep on Stevenson. Strong, fast and hits hard.
