Who would have won? I say Floyd, and more easily than people think. "B-but Khan dominated Devon Alexander!". Imagine knowing so little about boxing that you think Alexander is in the same universe as Floyd.
It's an interesting fight for about 4 rounds. Floyd's ring IQ is far above Khan's ring IQ. Speed alone doesn't win you fights.
Don't know if Khan wins., but Floyd sure as hell did duck Khan. "I'll fight the winner of the Poll" "It's Khan" "OK, I'll fight the loser of the poll, who Khan already beat"
Completely agree Floyd works almost certainly have won, but he definitely didn't want to fight him. I wouldn't call it a duck, more a swerve as it was probably low reward due to Khan not being big in the US and a bit of a risk of looking not that good
This is a funny one, I still think Floyd ducked Khan but with that said I think Floyd would have won on points in a close fight. Khan was a beast at the time
Basically this. Floyd's pressure would be too much IMO but Khan would make it interesting for a few rounds.
Save for the first few rounds where Khan’s speed gives him a lot of trouble (and would be very interesting to watch as I’ve always said) , Floyd quickly adjusts, learns to time him and starts to hit him and pot shot easily, busting him up and prob stopping him on accumulation. Khan is fast but not smart, does the same things and doesn’t know how to back up.
I think Floyd would fight to an ugly win instead. He'd make it boring with his "pressure". Floyd saw something that made him reconsider though. A fight v Khan would have been bigger and more lucrative then the Maidana fight. Makes no sense to go w/ the loser of the poll, fighting the loser of the poll matchup.
https://www.boxingforum24.com/threads/floyd-mayweather-vs-amir-khan-speculation-discussion.524914/ It would've always been PBF. Easy work, maybe a knockout.
