Almost all of his quality’s were diminished more so than others. Kinda hard to tell because there is almost no footage of a truly prime Pep.
He broke his leg as well. Others died in that crash ,, he recovered very well considering he was basically in a full body cast ..and went on quite a tear to say the least ,, he kept boxing for 18 more years I believe .. He averaged a fight every 6 - 8 weeks for 26 years ... Its insane This interview here .. he explains what happened https://www.sportscasting.com/willi...rash-and-went-on-to-cement-his-boxing-legacy/
No doubt that crash and the injuries he sustained had a lasting impact on his abilities. Nonetheless, he achieved ATG status.
He was 110-1-1 before the crash. Whatever it took out of him, he sucked afterwards. He won 119 fights but he had 10 losses. And he was mostly fighting bums, cab drivers and cans, and he still lost 10 times.
Ouch !!! You know his 4 fights with Saddler were after the plane crash not before right ?? And he beat 5 guys who beat Saddler
He wouldn’t be able to compete with modern cabbies don’t give me that garbage he’d be lucky to work as an Uber now and he’d never sniff limo driver.
