Bruce Curry - early in his career his management (I believe it was Jesse Reid, who had deep connections in Japan) was bringing him over to Japan for experience and some very good paydays. Anyways, he went 4-0 through his career over in Japan against Japanese opponents, all by KO. I'm sure the Japanese would have liked to have seen a victory of one of their own, but they actually took to Curry. They really appreciated his style and even bestowed the name 'Curry Fuji' on him. It was actually briefly used by the magazines as well at the time instead of Bruce Curry. But they dropped it once it was clear he was staying US based.

Frampton lost to Santa Cruz, got his ass handed to him by Herrring, and failed to fight Russel. Poor example.

Wlad wiped out Ibragimov and Povetkin, the best Russians of his era. No Valuev though.

Vitali wiped out Gomez and Solis, the best Cubans of his era. He also beat Adamek and Sosnowski, the two best Poles other than Wach.

Remember Ronald Winky Wright coming over to the UK in the late 90s and beating Dodson, Foster and Bingham in the UK in the space of a year.

Short list, but Big John Tate walked through Kallie Knoetze and Gerrie Coetzee in back-to-back fights, the two best of their country at the time, giving him at least a rent-to-own option on South Africa.

If you mean every top American he fought owned him, that’s true. What did he own?

What you on about. I never said nothing about Frampton and americans. He beat Santa Cruz.

The facts of the matter is . Carl Frampton has a W over every mexican he faced. Therefore it's a good example.

    Leo Santa Cruz
    Horacio Garcia
    Alejandro Gonzalez
    Hugo Fidel Cazares
    Raul Hirales
    Chris Avalos

Carl ' The Mexican Assassin' Frampton :)

I misread that bc I've always thought of Santa Cruz as an American (started career in US as a teen, speaks English).

I still disagree though. Santa Cruz beat him in the rematch. Never fought Mares, Valdez, Vargas, Navarette, etc. Not exactly the stuff of legends.
