This is it. Wilder is done on a mental level. Sure, he's got vicious power. But now he knows there's someone out there than can take an hour and a half of it, he's fell apart. Not to mention that the last fight will have took years off of Wilders life, let alone career. AJ is confused on whether he's a Boxer, a fighter, or a role model. But he's still up for fighting the best. AJ by TKO.
Wilders chin held up pretty good against Fury but he showed to me that Joshua would have kept him down in The midrounds. Im picking Joshua by early TKO but Wilder has a punchers chance. 70/30 Joshua.
Not as hard but Ruiz connected from a better angle and he found the temple unlike Wlad. Also Joshua saw Wlads punch coming in. Those things are more important than punch power.
I’d edge towards Wilder by TKO but it’s close, if AJ hurts him similar to what Fury did early I see AJ finishing him in emphatic fashion but Wilder is a warrior and I see him stopping AJ mid rounds. 60/40 in favour of Wilder
I had heard that Joshua had been kod in sparring and possibly still suffering effects when he went in to that fight with Ruiz
That guy that just had a pig heart has more than josh, Wilder will show us how to knockout bodybuilding posers...
Joshua beats Wilder at this point. Wilder wouldn't fight Joshua in the first place to be fair. Joshua punches a lot harder than Fury and would get Wilder out of there before a risk of being clipped himself. Joshua is still in the game looking to unify and at this point there's no sign of Wilder coming back and even if he does it will be back to fighting taxi drivers and b level cruiserweights. The myth of Wilder is broken and once done that can never return he has nothing else to offer.
And AJs worst loss is to a tubby taco salesman who moonlights as a boxer. If you going to go back over their history there are arguments either way -hard to see that Ruiz would have ever given Wilder much trouble given he has been down vs AJ and Arreola.
AJ goes as his game plan goes. Does he go on his bicycle like Ruiz or does he try to take the fight to Wilder cronk style? Wilder seems on the fence about fighting again. He's got the right hand to keep him in the game but has to think like a past prime boxer about it. He's too concerned about his legacy.
To be fair Wilder got smashed by a guy who went to 400lbs and was wasted on alcohol and drugs and literally rolled of his sofa..... As for pudding he's clearly inconsistant as seen by the rematch and the fight with Arreola. As for resume Joshua is light years ahead of Wilder who hasn't fought anyone with a pulse and I don't count Kong as he like Wilder hasn't fought ANY of the top guys. I will bet you that even if Wilder comes back he will fight someone like Martin and you clowns will be creaming your knickers over it. You were sold a myth that was never real I'm just suprised that some of you have taken this long to realise the grift. I think Fury and Usyk are better than Joshua but he still clearly has the best resume and that's what counts.
I have no love for Wilder. I just don't see how anyone could regard this fight as a foregone conclusion based on both of their history, I see it as very 50/50. AJ has more paths to victory but if Wilder can detonate twice then the gumshield is being spat into the tenth row.
Agree Wilder does have a decent chance if he can land I just think AJ would be too mobile for him considering an anchient Kong was able to confortably outbox Wilder before getting clipped towards the end of the fight. AJ has more punching power and more speed than Kong and I think would get to him first. I think it would be a 70/30 in AJ's favor. Wilder was flattered in his last fight with Fury for lasting so long but for me it was because Fury was actually in bad shape and should have got Wilder out of there quicker considering his dominant 2nd fight. The reality is the 2nd fight was the closest to Fury being in shape and Fury is hardly the hardest punching at Heavy. I honestly believe that if Wilder actually faced the top 10 he would certainly lose more than a couple along the way.
