That’s a bit unfair Mitch, you’ve missed out the part where Arum says talks are ongoing re: Whyte.

Charr etc are poor opponents of course, hopefully it’s just a negotiating tactic at this stage and the Whyte fight happens.

    1. Fury got gifted an oppurtunity to fight Wilder, cherry picked. He didnt earn it or climb the WBC ranks. So dont care.
    2. Wilder was a long running champion because of a seriously padded record, and fighting only one mandatory in three years, when the rules say once a year. Again don't care.
    3. Being a champion means nothing, depends on who you beat, how you did it, and how you got there. As an example Charles Martin became champ by luck/accident. Moot point.
    4. As for Whyte taking nappy naps, thats what happens when you fight top contenders in the heavyweight division. Doesnt tend to happen when you fight Schwarz, Seferi, Wallin, Pianeta or any other top 60 Nobody.

All moot points. Fury's CV sucks balls. Klitcko only half decent win, and that was seven years ago! AJ did a much better job against Klitchko. Lots of replay quality know what I mean??? :risas3::risas3::risas3:

Fury could wake up tommorow and declare 35/65 split and the fight would happen.

Thats midway'ish between the 80/20 low ball and the 45/55 split that the regulations say Whyte could be entitled too.

I'm pretty damn sure that before WBC mandated 80/20 No one on this forum said 80/20 would be okay. Open challenge to anyone to find me a post that says otherwise.

It’s not realistic is it. Not only is it the governing body who mandates the split, but these are both very proud men with big egos. Fury isn’t going to suddenly give in to what Whyte wants - even if it was as simple as you imply (which it obviously isn’t).

A more entertaining fight doesn’t mean he did a better job.

Obviously it was more exciting for your average punter - but it was at home, Wlad was already beaten + almost 2 years older. Joshua also went down.

The Fury win was the better victory imo but the Joshua win the better spectacle.

Well all this lack of logic, and not saying what you mean is confusing for me. I come from a world where people are direct and honest when discussing important topics.

When Fury says "I couldnt give a toss about the money" and when he says it consistently so I know its not a one-off , bad mood, spur of the moment type of thing... I fail to see why he doesnt want to meet Whyte half way.

There is nothing sudden about this when Fury been saying how he doesnt care about money for many years, it formed one of the highlight talking points in his "mental health" presentations. And given everything he has said about mental health and what he went through when he made his first millions, I can totally understand why he would have become sick of the money.

So, wake up say 65/35... take charge of your affairs... and make the fight happen. Not complicated.

Fury is inconsistent and contradictory. He’s always been like that and always will be.

He’s clearly very money motivated as demonstrated by his career decisions.

What’s interesting is how his detractors acknowledge this and call him a liar etc - yet take him at face value when it suits their agenda.

When there’s millions of pounds at stake - it’s not as simple as Fury waking up one morning and dictating the split. He’s not the governing body and just one of the stakeholders. It’s Vegan Beast levels of naivety to think it’s as straightforward as that.

This was an improved version of Wlad, that had taken onboard the loss from Fury to become a better adversary. Joshua got the job done quicker. He got dropped because he doesnt fight like an octopus the way Fury does and his 95 inch reach. Like cunningham said it best, cut Fury down to 6'4, 6'5 and he is garbage... or in my opinion... Hughie Fury.

AJ would beat the same Wlad Fury beat. No doubts.

Ok, but that’s all subjective and we’ve got no way of knowing. Joshua might well have done, but he clearly has issues with pressure. Would he have beaten Klitschko away from home as a true away fighter? I’m not sure..

Yeah all subjective, dont like the "coulda woulda" arguments. But bottom line, Fury's style is boring. And thats the consensus. He gets by on his awkward height and range and style, so good for him. Using his physical gifts.
