Styles make fights. Sal had some difficulties with fighters taller and longer than him like Cowdell and Pat Ford. And he still beat them anyway. Azumah knocked Cowdell out in what, a round? Each fighter has their stylistic diffuculties. Sanchez hadn't lost since he was a teenager, and I don't remember him ever getting knocked down or even hurt, and that includes fights against Little Red twice, Gomez and Nelson.
Jackson didn't set up that KO. He caught Norris on the ropes and landed on him. And Graham was dominating him and made the mistake of trading with Jackson. Very few people punch like Jackson. But Naz is pretty close. You do know that he occasionally sparred and beat up on heavyweights right? Pretty sure Emmanuel Steward knows a puncher when he encounters them and he is quoted as saying Naz is one of the greatest punchers he trained.
How about going life and death with a novice in Nelson? How about Rocky Garcia who was 5'4? He went the full distance did he not? Nickey Perez ? Went the distance.
And yet you leave out Ruben Castillo who Sanchez had problems with to the point he was behind at one point on the score cards. Does this mean Sanchez is great? Absolutely not. Would I favor Sanchez over the Prince? Yes I would. But here's the thing: its a fight I would WANT to see because of two talented boxers. The Prince would be an underdog for sure but a LIVE underdog.
When it comes to Hamed, I would be on the same page as Mark. Hamed is a very dislikeable fellow whose supporters swear that he had Godlike power and could knock any featherweight, which is utter insanity.
Henry Cooper`s left hook was a dangerous punch and he is a national treasure in the UK, Alicea was a nobody.
Manny Steward also said at one point the most talented fighter he trained was Oba Carr, even the greats spout bull now and then.
Jackson disguised his right hand, making Norris think he wa going to the body but crashed it into Terry`s jaw instead. This content is protected
