If your whyte and seriously belive u can win take 20 percent have it 60 40 to winner of the rematch. If fury retires your the champ and can demand good money against usyk or aj or wilder. Even if lose pretty sure career best payday and could easily fight wilder ruiz etc for plenty money.
I still don't understand Hearn's plan. Is he looking to win the purse bid and then Whyte continue with the battle to get it adjusted to more than 20%? Are they planning to just tie Fury up and keep this mess going, or will they attempt to make the fight soon? Hearn's already mentioning May as a realistic date. And it's early days still.
I said ages ago that Fury v Usyk for undisputed, and AJ v Whyte in a real eliminator, would makes the most sense for everyone. Completely logical for all four fighters, and best for fans. I think it's a bit too good to be true for it to turn out that way.
I think hearn is trying to stall fury vs whyte and deep down wants AJ to step aside. He probably like most can't see AJ reserving the result straight away and would prefer him to have more time to gel with a new trainer. Hearns preferred outcome i think is fury vs usyk and then either way AJ gets a undisputed shot against Fury or usyk and either one would make record numbers and revenue for matchroom. It's interesting listening to how stupid a lot of you guys are on here. AJ is not and was never going to take step aside money. Neither is Whyte. Unlike Fury, they both actually want to fight for the belts and fight the best for them too. Imagine AJ taking step aside money and fighting someone like Helenius or Charr right now. Dillian Whyte has been silent, AJ is saying nothing either and Hearn just admitted it's on the table. Naturally, if it happens we'll all have to put up with 35 posts a day from you explaining that fighting Usyk and Joshua is the only way Fury can avoid ATG Dillian Whyte.
A big step aside money (and a promise for the undisputed fight) makes sense for AJ, but not for Whyte as no-one can guarantee a future title fight for him. Oil sheiks would have to pay an obscene amount of money to Dillian for that to happen.
Yes! I'm more interested in seeing Tyson handle being the champ then it is feeling that Whyte getting a fair split. I'm telling you, Tyson falls apart as the man. He doesn't have the mental capacity to string along a couple of defences as the champ.
Good link. My first thought wasn't Hearn, but Probellum, due to Fury's MTK links. MTK manage Fury, but he has no contractual relationship with Probellum. You're right of course that Hearn has the Saudi connections. I can't help but feel that he's compromised by the Whyte situation, but boxing is a strange enough business that it might not matter when money of this magnitude are involved.
Of course it makes sense for Fury Usyk next. The issue is egos here. Realistically if Usyk beats AJ again, comfortably, he will never be the commercial draw he was. He will still be a star but he will never be what he was. If he regroups and fights the winner of Fury Usyk, especially if that is a Fury win, the fight is huge.
