I think there’s a cost.... either that or the obvious reason for not signing up.

Truthfully I hadn’t considered the notion that Benn’s improvement was down to PEDs - maybe it isn’t, and he’s just forgotten. I read somewhere that if they sign back up within a certain timeframe their ranking is reinstated.

The literal only option for him to stop this becoming a PR issue is to sign up, today, quicksticks.

Tyson Fury went from going life and death with John McDermott to beating Wlad in his own backyard.

People are quick to jump to PED's but it's obvious Benn has been a dedicated gym rat and really put the graft in these past few years... which I think deserves credit.

The paranoia on this forum the way some of you go on I’m convinced you’ve been on the weed watching re-runs of Mulder and Scully.

"Tyson Fury went from going life and death with John McDermott to beating Wlad in his own backyard." Didn't he ingest whole wild boar, including testicles to accomplish that?

They’re all juicing so who cares… It’s just that some don’t have the money to hire specialist doctors to administer micro doses of the juice..

Furys another one who has to be on the suspect list for me. Not really knocking either of them because i actually like benn and fury. But it is what it is....when you see improvement like that...eyebrows should be getting raised. No proof so better just going down as innocent until proven guilty as far as i m concerned.

But both fury and benn looked not quite good enough at one point. Both struggling a little bit with no hopers in the beginning. That level of improvement isnt seen too often. Most of the time you can see them coming a mile off. The guys that are going on to big things.

Most boxers work incredibly hard...for some reason benn to his credit is working harder it seems. Whats allowing him to work this hard....when the rest of them are far too sore and knackered too make similar massive improvements.

Benn seemed to get very muscular after he decided to get "dedicated" to training.

He always looked undersized for a welterweight but then he pretty rapidly changed his physique and it was pretty obvious this was down to more than just 'better nutrition and smarter training'.

Big McDermott gets a hell of a lot of flak mainly due to his gut but he was a pretty decent fighter at British level.

Isn’t this like $50k to sign up to per year? Seems rather steep and a bit of sharp practice by the WBC.

Where has that figure come from?
When it started the WBC said "absolutely no cost to fighter, manager or promoter".

There is zero cost to the fighter. There were over 50 fighters that were called out on this yesterday and removed from the rankings. It happens every year in January and the WBC make an announcement to remove them.

All of these fighters have to complete a 10-20 page document and send it in to the WBC its admin that most fighters let their managers complete as thats why you pay them.

All the fighters will complete the form and likely be reinstated. you guys do love a bit of drama all it is is bad PR

I have been very close to several great boxers through my work and several of them admitted to me that they had used performance enhancing drugs (steroids, growth hormones etc.) As one boxer said to me: "I know it's wrong but they do it all and I will not be in a worse position than my competitors".

Most fighters are not signed up to this.
