Canelo beat 3 champs in the last year alone. Who has Loma beaten that's better than Jacobs, GGG or Plant?
No chance I do agree that canelo has some wins on his record that are questionable, but he has a greater record than loma
No. But I feel his win over Gary Russell Jr. gets underrated, as does some of his work up at lightweight. Canelo's run at SMW was clearly inferior to his run at JMW imo, and if anything, his 2019 was more impressive than 2021. Clearly so. Not trying to discredit Canelo's record, just saying that I think people tend to get carried away and are impressed by the quote, "wrong" thing.
Loma fights his opponents at full strength and all these giants who are way bigger, longer, heavier and more powerful than him at full strength. He's isn't trying to handicap, weaken or cripple them with catchweights, rehydration clauses and short camps and he doesn't have to jack himself with PEDs to help him bridge the gap as he ascends through the weights and it's not like he was ever a weight bully at his first weight, let alone his second, and had to move up because he was killing himself to make weight. Clen is a natural 168 pounder at worst and even against Kovalev up at 175 he would only have been giving away a couple of pounds at most if any weight at all and he was only giving away 2'' in reach. Loma is routinely giving away 7-15lbs and 3-5.5'' in reach and giving away that amount of weight down at 135 is different to doing so up at 168 and above. And he doesn't have the judges in his pocket like Clen does either. Quite the contrary in fact. One of the judges scored his asswhooping of GRJ a draw even though he won it by a landslide and one of them in the Teofimo fight scored it 119-109 even though Loma clearly dominated the vast majority of the second half of the fight. Hell one of them even gave Nakatani 2 rounds despite it being a one-sided massacre. If Loma had Clen's judges he'd still be undefeated, whereas, conversely, Clen would have at least five more losses if he had Loma's.
I agree with this. Canelo is elite but Loma is the better fighter but unfortunately he will never get the credit for it. If everything was fair in boxing most fighters would have a lot more losses on their records it is near impossible to stay undefeated fighting top competition on a level playing field.
Did Loma lose to a fighter with a **** load of losses who was on the verge of retirement? Yes or no? Did Loma lose to a fighter who was pretty much unproven and then that unproven fighter lose to an Aussie B level fighter? Yes or No? Don't be an idiot
