They did this over on classic and I am going to repeat my answer. Usyk wins this, and it is one of those that does not come down to styles, levels, heavy vs cruiser...any of that. It is very simply that everything Usyk touches turns to gold, and Vitali lost to the two best guys he got in the ring. On one hand, you have a guy who is an Olympic gold medalist, undisputed cruiserweight champ, unified heavyweight, and undefeated legend in 19 fights, with the extra special reputation of being the ultimate road warrior. With Vitali, you have a guy whose amateur career went off the rails due to testing positive, lost to the two best guys shared a ring with as a pro, and failed to make some of the other fights that might have really shored up his legacy, while degrading the division by sharing it with his brother. It is the ultimate winner in Uysk against...well...not at all a loser, but someone who is basically there to lose to guys like Usyk. I like Vitali a lot, but him and Wladdy are going to have to get used to being the second and third best Ukranian heavyweights in history.
Slow down.. he's only had 3 fights. 1 of which Vitali schooled with one arm a decade ago.. The other one was nearly sparked by a geriatric Wladimir. If he beats Fury i'd probably agree over Vitali but Vladimir reigned for a decade .. it's not a given that he beats Joshua in the rematch either, I honestly won't be surprised if he struggles this time because I think Joshua will use his physicality and size more.. might just go balls to the wall.. People forget that Vladimir was really good at out boxing crafty, quick smaller athletic type fighters.. Haye, Byrd, Castillo etc.. his footwork and jab at heavyweight were 2nd to none .. A 35-year-old Vladimir will be a hard fighter to beat for Usyk. He moved much better than Joshua ever has.
Overrated yes but how Overrated ? He schooled Chisora with 1 arm as a shop worm middle aged man. The same Chisora that gave some modern top 10 guys serious fits when he was prime and past it. Im pretty sure Vitali does an even more devastating job on Joshua than Usyk did. That gas tank, the underrated work rate, the size, the chin, the awkwardness and he's got decent power. Nah Joshua doesn't go the distance Now im not so sure he beats Usyk though. It could very well end up with an Usyk TKO win due to Vitali tearing up his shoulder by missing most of his infamous arm punches
Prime Vitali would make short work of this lot....Stop over rating these Heavy's they are average to say the least.!!!
Im just saying. Vitali is overrated as some claim he's H2H number 1 and thats pretty stupid. But he would just tear Joshua's ass up, that much is certain. Fury vs Vitali is a toss up or 60/40 Vitali not because Fury is an ATG but because Fury's size and reach could cause Vitalis lean back style issues
Vitali only loses are to injury, and he was ahead in both fights. Let's not get ahead of ourself with Usyk. Both Vitali and Wlad knows how to use their height and reach and Usyk will have hard, hard night against any of them if we talk prime for prime.
Vitali was very good indeed but he tends to be overrated in these types of discussions. He has dropped rounds against far inferior fighters to Usyk Usyk would land consistently all night and win a decision
Usyk is great, but I can't see him win against Vitali. Vitali's range, accuracy and insane output are just too much for Olek. If you think Fury is a bad style matchup, try Vitali, who's known for being extremely hard to win rounds from, even when injured.
Vitali is Dr. Ironfist, Wlad is Steelhammer Usyk poses some issues but Vitali will probably outpoint him or stop him late. But Im pretty sure Vitali would lose more than two rounds in a fight for the first time in his career.
