is that not exactly what Conor Benn is trying to do and getting criticised for?

But he's not pushing for a high profile fight, they just say they are to con the public.

Im surprised they haven't called out Pacquiao.
That's as high profile as it gets.

Noel Gallagher in one of his early interviews "you tell 1,000,000 that we are the greatest band in the world, if only 10% believe me, then 100,000 think we're the greatest band in the world"

I went out for a mates birthday the night of Benn vs Algieri, got on the subject of the fight with another lad who's a boxing fan, and apart from me and him, out of a big group of blokes, most of whom are football/general sports fans and do watch a bit of boxing, I don't think anyone else even knew the fight was happening.

The idea that Benn is some huge star is pure spin/delusion form Hearn. It's also probably another example of how Hearn has made a huge error of judgment by leaving Sky.

Benn is pushing for a high profile bout just not against a live opponent. He just wants name.

Its a fair point the sad thing is they coukd actually be truthful in my opinon and people would still want to watch Benn but they choose to lie. Benn is fun to watch, he really is but he is in no way a top 5 WW right now.

Of course its spin from hearn that's his job, benn is still going to have beat one or some of the elite welters whoever they might be at the time to become a star..yes the hype is ott but he won't be blagging his way to superstardom in this division without having to beat some serious fighters.he might not even get that far tbh.

I think Benn is deliberately avoiding tough bouts that are going to ask him hard questions but instead is taking easy fights against “names.” At the end of the day, we would all watch Benn vs Ava - it’s a good, competitive fight with a lot of intangibles. I don’t think I’ll watch Benn vs Robert Guerrero.

According to Benn interview Hooker seems the more likely opponent than Guerrero (thank f*ck!).

Benn vs Hooker is a good fight and another step up in quality of opponent for Benn.

No bias from me, just an opinion backed up by what I have seen in his fights, the weak opponents with two exceptions and cutting through Eh Day Earn's spin.

Pudding Whyte had him dancing in round 2 and I knew from then there was a reason he was facing puddings.

No heart, no chin, no stamina will be exposed every time he faces a live test - you cannot be an elite fighter without these qualities. The images are fact.

I remember when all the "hardcores" said Parker, then it was Povetkin and Pulev would destroy him. Look i dont think he is the best HW but fact of the matter only a biased peraon could make an argument that he isnt in the top 5 jn weight division considering all he achieved and if you are top 5 in your weight you are an elite boxer imo

All about opinions but Joshua is not and never will be an elite fighter - a good fighter yes but no chin, no stamina, no heart and never dethroned a genuine current World Champion in the ring.

He has only faced two live challenges Usyk and Old Klit - the rest are puddings.

Elite fighters don't get destroyed by a little fatty.

The 3 P's you referred to are known as the three puddings - check the threads on here and the majority of views by the informed were that they all had a very small chance of winning going into the fights.
