AJ scoops £15m, gets a guaranteed shot at the Winner and mugs off Dillian all at the same time. It's like a Guy Ritchie caper!
If this happens and Joshua doesn’t fight Whyte.. I wonder whether Whyte vs Wilder could be made? All a bit ideal situation at the moment with very little to go on.. but could be great for the division.
If AJ agrees the step aside that solves the Usyk problem, and am I wrong in saying that Fury v Usyk would be a unification fight and retakes precedence over a mandatory fight meaning there is no obligation to pay Whyte any sort of steapside fee.?
I think Whyte would have to be paid off. If Fury and Usyk had made the fight a few months ago, he wouldn't have. But that initial period elapsed, so Whyte's status was solidified and he is guaranteed to get something. That's how I understood it. But I don't really know. The WBC make it all up as they go along anyway, so who knows.
Tbh if someone is offering me 15 million to do nothing and then a shot at the undisputed title I am accepting.
If this is true, Davies tweets say could the headline says will, it would confirm he's changing training set up drastically. 15 million to train? You would be dumb not to.
Exactly, before he was atleast 1 tough fight away from fighting for undisputed, now its next and he gets 15m! No brainer
Hearn says there other options but I ccan only think of two if he does, Whyte and Joyce. Whyte - Would decide who is most deserving of two to fight the winner of Usyk vs Fury next. Joyce- No one would be disappointed with this fight if it was made however might be problematic to make considering Hearn and Warren relationship. However Joyce is next in line to fight Hrgovic if he accepts. Ruiz and Parker in talks to make a fight. Hunter is coming off a dissapointing peformance against Forrest. Hrgovic is high risk low reward option. Most ducked guy in the divison but his best win thus far is Molina.
Word is the Saudis are prepared to pay a huge fee to host the Undisputed fight. If that fee is say £100m (would not surprise me) then it's very doable.
Deep down he must know that Usyk and Fury both beat him. So 15 million for doing nothing, lose to the winner for even more money and then retire.
Very sensible move financially and even more sense career wise. Usyk v Fury could stick serious mileage on both bodies particularly if a war breaks out in the ring. Win win for him fighting the winner.
