I’d take £15 million to effectively do nothing, although who Joshua would fight on PPV in the interim would be interesting to see.

    I thought that too.
He could have dismissed all the step aside talk and confirmed he is 100% gonna fight Usyk but he didn't.

Fair play to him if he does take £15 million for not getting beat again by Usyk. 15 mill for doing **** all and getting to fight the winner isn't a bad result

What are the WBC's rules on unification fights? Can a mandatory be delayed?

    Word from who?

Fury is contracted to ESPN. A fight in the middle of day in America isn’t much use to them.

Why have it in the middle of the day?

McGregor fought over there and he is a bigger star than these guys, so you can do it and appease the US audience

Will Whyte even need paying off..... I don't think he will he has been well and truly shafted if AJ get 15 million in cold hard Saudi cash as a unification takes presedent over a mandatory and there is nothing Whyte can do about it. The WBC, Fury, Frank and Bob will all be laughing at him as he crys into his cornflakes should have just took the 20% and got the contract signed his own stalling and whining has truly ****ed him over if the Fury Usyk deal gets done.

McGregor fought at 8am in the morning (UAE time) to suit American viewers.

I wouldn’t think the Arabs would be too happy putting up $100m to hold an undisputed fight only to then have to have it at a time unsuitable for them to appease an American audience, not that the American public really care about either fighter but the network and promotion is American, hence why I don’t think it will happen.

Wouldn’t surprise me if it was someone like Zhang. Help DAZN launch in a new area, massive PPV numbers in china, extremely low risk with the winner of the undisputed looming.

UFC held a number of events there during COVID. They weren’t actively paid for by the state which would be the case in this instance.
