I can't see AJ stepping aside , he doesn't need the money , ok £15m without the costs of a camp, trainer fees etc is worth more than £15m for fighting but I can't help but think if he did take it he would end up with egg on his face and not get a shot at Fury anyway (who will easily beat Usyk imo). Then you have the Dillian Whyte situation , will they pay him step aside money too, no way has he gone to all this hassle just to step aside now surely and why would he fall behind AJ in the queue for the winner. Of course Fury's camp will say they want Usyk and AJ should fight Whyte then the winners fight each other , but that does nothing for either AJ or Whyte , they would both have too much lose. I think nothing would suit Fury , Warren and Arum more than to get Usyk next and contract or no contract freeze both AJ and Whyte out of getting a shot at all the belts, if nothing else to get one over on Hearn.
This content is protected It is in absolutely no way about the money, but if he gets enough money he will step aside. Rightyo Could be about the money
If he genuinely has been offered 15 million pounds to step aside (I doubt the amount I think it has been exaggerated) but if the reports are true and it really is 15 million it's a no brainer, he should take it without any hesitation. It's a ridiculous amount of money to simply not fight Usyk in April. Hard to put into words how absurd it is so I'll just say that there have been world champions, far more talented and able than AJ who have not earned 15 million throughout the course of their entire career so should he take it or not is for me not even a debate. Even if he has no contractual guarantee of a fight with the Tyson vs Usyk winner he should take it, he's more than big enough a draw to fight either next regardless of the result anyway, so really whatever happens he will be in big fights and fight for a belt sooner rather than later.
The offer doesn't make sense to me. Either he enforces the rematch and fights Usyk or he doesn't. Wjhy should he be paid so handsomely? Also, assuming the fighters purses will be higher than the step aside figure how can they throw so much money on a fight that will do decent but not world beating numbers
I just saw him in Watford Co-Op when I was out getting something for tea. I spied a few nearly out of date puddings in his basket when I was behind him in the queue.
Would be some level of amusement if the best thing Dillian every did for boxing was take step aside money
Whyte will be the big loser here if this happens. AJ will get back shot regardless as his the money man but Whyte if he really wants his shot should be saying he won't do it.
New report is that Tony Dosh PPV wants £20m - is there no end to this shocking greed? https://www.thetimes.co.uk/article/anthony-joshua-wants-20m-to-let-oleksandr-usyk-fight-tyson-fury-and-a-shot-at-winner-nb8fj7gmv?utm_medium=Social&utm_source=Twitter#Echobox=1643217239
Just got to hope that Usyk v Fury isn't a long drawn out mess to make and once it's made and there's a date Fury doesn't start messing about and delaying things
All Whyte wants is loot and more loot - he is not interested in fighting for titles as he knows he is the new Pudding Chisora.
