Hearn is definitely gutted the AJ step aside couldn’t be agreed. He wanted to line up a summer pudding for Anthony and would use the “new trainer” line to justify it.
Fury is a fantastic boxer but his fan boys seem to think he’s infallible. He’s not. He’s got flaws and I’d question his chin. Massive favourite against Whyte but I don’t think he will be able to bully him like he did to Wilder. The hooks on the inside could cause him problems plus Whyte is capable of the dirty tricks himself. Good fight. Fury 70% Whyte 30% in my formulated win percentage.
I think Fury’s superior footwork and gas tank will win him the fight. Whyte is game and comes to fight so it will be a good fight. Looking forward to this one now.
If Fury doesn't fight Usyk in 6 months then he's ducking but right now there are a myriad of legitimate reasons for Fury to not fight Usyk. I can understand why Fury wouldn't want to enter an agreement which would sign him up for 3 fights with Usyk, Joshua and Shyte. Sounds like a messy contract to me. He's opted to just fight Whyte as mandatory instead, which is fair enough imo.
@Ty is That Guy How do you feel about the fact AJ DID want step aside and Fury will be fighting Whyte? Seems you were wrong about pretty much everything lol.
Personal view: I'm glad this fiasco seems to be over and a purse bid is happening tomorrow. Yep, I'd have loved to see Fury-Usyk, but I am very happy to see Fury-Whyte and Usyk-Joshua II. A few people (mainly Gareth Davies) have said that Frank has the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff booked for 26th March. That might be a bit tight time-wise - and there is no certainty Queensberry will win the purse bid - but it would be a huge event. If Hearn wins it, then I'm sure he'd put it at Wembley or Spurs in April. It will be very enjoyable to look forward to some top level heavyweight boxing again.
Fury has checkmated Matchroom. They have played silly buggers delaying the Whyte situation and Usyk v AJ. As a mandatory Fury will need to face Whyte, but he has now got confirmation Whyte was trying to get a pay off not too fight him. What's more he has proved AJ and his team dont fancy their rematch v Usyk. Can see Fury beating Whyte, then Usyk and retiring.
Absolutely. Look at way they have disrespecting Usyk, lying AJ only wanted rematch, sitting on rematch for ages then they got caught doing what they wanted, avoiding Usyk hoping Fury would do the job for him. Then there is Dilian 'wants to fight the top guys' Whyte. That's everyone except Pulev, AJ and Fury. Has hand has been forced as he wont get a career high pay day to step aside from his true mandatory position, which isnt about money but his right to get fight lol.
So, every single interview AJ has said he is fighting Usyk and he wants the belts back. But somehow your twisted logic makes that to mean he wants step aside money? Idiot
Maybe you are slow, ******ed, both, I'm not sure. But let me say it again slowly so you can understand. I DON'T CARE WHO GETS PAID WHAT. I ONLY CARE THAT THE BEST FIGHT THE BEST. Did you get it this time stupid? The 80/20 % thing was the first wave the Arum and Fury threw out there to get out of the fight. Then they tried to say Fury would just defend one of his other fake belts. Then they tried to fight an MMA fighter. Now it looks like they have resigned to the fact that they have nowhere else to go so they will be forced to f is that Whyte or lose the only real belt Fury has. And seriously? You can't just admit that Matchroom will win the purse bid?
