There's been a seemingly endless tournament going on in the Super Featherweight and occasionally Lightweight divisions, that's been occurring in Russia, involving around 12 fighters, who're basically on the same level, that's been going on for the last 5 or 6 years. That sadly, largely remains unseen outside of Mother Russia, and is still virtually unknown to not only the casuals, but even many of the hardcores. But even to the hardcores that are well aware of it, it's almost too confusing and complex to keep track of, and certainly people don't feel like investing a ton of energy into figuring it out, considering most of them aren't going anywhere on the world scene. But that doesn't keep it from being wildly entertaining at times. So, if you're in the mood for some entertaining scraps, and feel like dipping your toes into the cold Russian waters, and attempting to decipher it. Leap right in, you'll have yourself a damn fun time. Here's some of the principle players, you might recognize one or two of them, with The Shavkat, beng the most well known to emerge from this scene, based on his level of success at the world level against Fuzile and JoJo Diaz. ALthough he hasn't shared the ring with very many of the other ones I've listed. He along with Ruslan Kamilov are probably the P4P best of this group in my estimation. There was a card last year featuring almost the whole collection (and Yakubov who isn't actually Russian but fights there) and it was very, very good: https://boxrec.com/en/event/826693
Awesome thread and will give these a watch! I must say, I am super ignorant when it comes to Russian fighters so this is a real treat!
Yet another all action fight that delivered this past Saturday, with a bonus hideous hematoma. Papazov vs. Uulu This content is protected
